Today's most fan-made God of War III video

Headline doesn't make sense to you? Obviously, you've been missing Joystiq's nightly "today's most" videos. It's okay, we're a better blog anyway.

When we saw KazamaFury's self-made God of War III promo video, we were blown away by the professional quality of this teaser. Sure, there's no footage of God of War III to be found (that would be impossible). Regardless, it tantalizes and makes the years-long wait for the inevitable sequel slightly more painful.

Good god I'm DYING for that game. It's pretty much the main reason I bought a PS3. What's the speculation on when it's going to be released? I sure hope it's more 2009 than 2008!

wow, I've not played any of the GOW games as I sold my PS2 years ago.

Is it worth me buying the first two games and going through them to get a better understanding of the game?

Seems a good excuse to use the backwards compatible capability of my PS3 for the fist time.

its definitely worth it I would say. GOW2 looks better than most ps3/360 games in my opinion. I also havent played through both of them entirely but just a portion of GOW2. I am going to wait for the prequel to GOW to come to PSP and then from there play 1 and 2 in chronological story order. If we are lucky maybe we will see an HD enhanced version of 1 and 2 reissued for ps3. kind of like WipeoutHD of Star Wars LegoComplete saga.

thats interesting. yeah I would love to temporarily forget my knowledge of Episode IV V and VI and watch from the beginning. Just because I am curious how it would impress on me. Thats kind of how I thought I should play the prequel first but you make a good point! maybe I will start playing now.

it's sexy, but I think like most of us, we are just waiting for God of War on PSP.

A little off topic, but I would really appreciated if anyone can help me answer this.

Just bought Guitar Hero 3 for my PS3, is it possible for me to buy Guitar hero 2 (PS2) disc and use my GH3 guitar to play it?

I don't know if it's a good idea to wait for the PSP prequel and see it in that order. Would you introduce someone who hasn't seen Star Wars ever with the Phantom Menace?

GOW is very story driven and in the first you work to learn the story behind it. It starts with Kratos suicide and then goes into what drives him to comit it.

I would follow the order of the realese that way you experience the story as it was developed, any prequel might be of little consequence to the main plot or might not fit right if you don't have the background information they give you in thew first God of War.

As of God of War 2, is not character build as the first one but as a story has the most climatic and exciting cliffhanger ending of any trilogy I know (specially Star Wars). When I finished GOW2 I was super pumped up and almost screaming , Hell YEah!!! It really pumps you up and makes you desire the last installment.
