I'll probably end up renting this game. I don't know why I'm not that excited about this title. It does look good though.

Is it just me or do the face's look a bit blank and stitched on? Guess I won't know until I see the trailer or better still demo - I hope they really step it up with the game-play and environments - I got bored with just running around aimlessly in San Andreas - Environments were too big and you could spend too much time just wandering trying to find all the content.
GTA 3 and Vice City were much tighter - Still can't wait to give it a go - God another open world game to stuck away my life and annoy my wife :-) I still haven't finished with Oblivion!

Have never thought, and still don't think, this game looks good. Looks better than previous GTA games, duh, but doesn't look awesome compared to anything else that's out.
Not a criticism though, because I don't think GTA games are about graphics anyway. I don't expect them to make a giant city, free for you to explore, and not have to make graphical sacrifices in order to get it running smoothly. If it runs smooth, plays like a GTA, and does just what it's supposed to, then that's all that really matters.
Not a GTA person at all though, just bored and wanted to comment. :)

Yeah rockstar has never been good with graphics but for some reason they never get criticized for it. So far this one is looking like a PS2 game..but nobody mentions that "because it's GTA".

Its not about just about the graphics folks...its about the gameplay. I can't help but to think about what this game could've been had it led on the PS3....also I also feel like I'm going to miss out on the additional content coming out for the 360.
Highimpact1 @ Dec 6th 2007 8:21PM
Look at it this way, Microsoft lost 50 million dollars for only exclusive content! Come on, that's pretty damn stupid...
Byron517 @ Dec 6th 2007 12:33PM
You know that the "additional content" can be just something they release for the 360 but what's keeping them from releasing some more content that isn't just exclusive? Think bout it that way! Either way I believe what we're seeing is an early build of the game and I'm sure it'll be more polished by the time it's all said and done

The graphics are not so good... but I will give the game a chance

With limited texture RAM and an expansive environment with huge draw distances, something has to give. Having the PS3 as the lead console for this game would not change that.
halfblind @ Dec 6th 2007 2:46PM
Either I missed something or I entered some sort of alternate reality, that game looks amazing on every screen shot that I've seen. You guys want Bioshock or COD4 quality on such an open ended game with a huge world to explore?? ... dream on.
Popfrogs @ Dec 6th 2007 6:45PM
Open ended game with a huge world to explore that looks fantastic: see Oblivion. There's no excuse for this game to look so bad. Also for huge worlds see Warhawk, R&C, etc. Your view is usually restricted in GTA due to you being surrounded by buildings so it's not like you're looking 5 miles towards the horizon anyway.
Again, no excuse for this game to look so poor. Then again it's all about the gameplay with this series.
redbrick @ Dec 8th 2007 8:00PM
Wow...I can't wait for this game. I hope they let you roam around everywhere. In other words, you can go in banks, stores, movie theatres subways WITHOUT cut scene transitions. That was my biggest hangup with the last few releases. Oh also make it so that I don't get motion sickness. Either way I can't wait. I also can't wait for Mafia 2 and many more.
Mullins @ Dec 6th 2007 6:45PM
GTA has never been about pushing graphical limitations but I think this sequel will do just that. Heres to no more delays!
Linda @ Dec 8th 2007 3:45AM
Perfect 3D Graphics! This is soooo Beautiful........
