Move Up Ladies: the new GTA IV trailer
As promised, here's the brand new Grand Theft Auto IV trailer. It's easily the most revealing trailer released so far. It's fascinating to see Liberty City bring justice to the NYC aesthetic. Let's hope the gameplay lives up to the visual revamp the game has received. If you'd like to watch it in HD, feel free to click this link for a download. GTA San Andreas on the PS3!!~....whoops, my mistake. What with the hyper active characters flailing about in the most average of scenes and very poor modeling of all the characters, the only thing different in what I saw was the nice facial movements and better detail and... that's it. Is this game for my PS3?................................................................. The first few trailers had me hopeful, and this one shot them hopes out of the air real fast................ Seriously, the only way you'll know you connected a fist into someone is the spray of blood?! Clothes are typically molded on the bodies without moving independently and when somebody is grabbed, (of which I can tell pretty much) their hands sink into the one grabbed? And of course, when you shoot someone.......spray of blood.... face goes dead(pretty easy for any PS1 game let alone a 3)......... body crumples into ragdoll program......... and if I want to be sadistic and pop a few extra rounds into the corpse.......... NOTHING shows up...................... Can we have at the VERY least, a "HEAT" style gun battle or even better a "Black Hawk Down" one? I don't want a Soldier of Fortune display of gaudiness. But at the very least, the very least, I want fear in my opponents to the point that if your on a roll. They drop the gun and flee! Or drop to their knees and beg you not to kill them, maybe spared they might try to gun you in the back to spice it up................. something new, something unique...................... is it too hard to at least ask?

Yeah, it's an upgraded PS2 game. The HD video looks like it hovers between 10 and 15 frames per second. Ridiculously bad.

I agree with you on most points. I used to be like you, thinking all the wonderful opportunities that games posses. Until, I started taking game design at university. First the animation, GTA itself is a real world, and supposedly has a real dynamic crowd. It would be cool to see someone begging for their life before we bash their heads into the ground and then spread their blood around the city. I hate to bring it up, but this might have been a choice due to multi-platform. Our game-design teacher is teaching us multi-platform issues and how to deal with them. If we had a superior version, all that M$ money paid, will be useless. Also we have the gift if HDD while 360 does not. There are many other reasons one of them being its GTA. The name itself sells it (except GTA:LONDON, I am never buying that again)

Wow. The new GT4 trailer was ok. But the MSG4 killed it that was way more impressive.

i will have to agree with dirtnsky where the hell is the GRAPHICAL IMPROVMENT, THESE LOOK LIKE PS2 OR PSP CUT SCENES. Guess rockstar figures itll be a hit either way. Nice non use of next gen hardware

The graphics ARE definitely better than San Andreas...but I'm still withholding judgment on whether they are better, or worse, than Saint's Row's.

has anybody of u seen the volumetric smoke and the fire in the trailer? remember fire on PS2 and tell again, that theres "no next gen hardware used"

I do not care how it looks or what the "framerate" is, what I care about is, is the game fun? In the end that is what matters. GTA has never been about graphics, it has been about gameplay and that is what I am looking forward to.
