Okay, so maybe you don't have a Windows PC that is capable of running the PlayStation Network downloader. That's okay. You may have a Mac, or you might be running Linux -- or you're just too darn afraid to install a new program on your computer. Whatever the reason, there
is an alternative ... provided you have a PS3.
- Visit the PLAYSTATION Store on any computer. Complete purchase of Beats, but do not download it.
- Log in to your PS3 using the same PSN account as the one used to purchase Beats.
- Go to PLAYSTATION Network on the XMB. Click on Account Management.
- Click on Transaction History.
- Then, click on Download List. You will see Beats on this list.
- Download to your PS3. Connect your PSP via USB and install your new favorite PSP game.
Hope this helps the few of you that simply cannot access the Store on your computer. If you're without a PS3
and a Windows PC, you're in tough luck for now. Why not just buy the game at a friend's house?

Except that I can't even access the PS store right now... Must be some server error or something cause it keeps telling me to check back later. Damnit! I really want Beats........... NEED....

Hey, that's great, thanks! I'm one of those with a PSP, a PS3, linux installed on my PS3, and a linux desktop computer, and was left unable to purchase Beats. Last I checked I thought Sony was trying to compete with MS, not force customers to fork over hundred or so dollars to MS just so we can get some great games on the PSP. (and no, wine doesn't work with Sony's software).
So, uh, anyone know what firmware version Beats requires? Just curious. ;)

Oddly enough I just blogged about this myself. You see, I am one of those mythical Mac users. And my PC laptop is at work. And I wanted to play it NOW. Luckily, I am as I found out that I was able to download it to my PS3.

I've been experimenting with this since the launch of the store. Unfortunately it doesn't work with anything else, like themes, videos, or wallpapers. Hopefully they will roll out a Mac and Linux down loader soon so we can access all of the content.

Couldn't you just use the ps3s internet browser to purchase from the STORE and then go to the account management?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Genius! I own a Mac and a PS3, so this may be a good work around for stuff that's only available on the PC Store and not the PS3 one.

Very good,
I'm glad this functionality is available for us mac users. Too bad they don't mention it anywhere heh. Great game by the way.

I own three PSPs. If I download to my PS3, can I install Beats to all my PSPs? Would this be legal? How does something like this work? Thanks!

Is this the only way you can get it? Can I just buy it on a UMD?
