Deal of the Day: SOCOM Tactical Strike for $20

SOCOM: Tactical Strike isn't for everybody. For example, it's not for people who don't like to think. If good graphics terrify you, then you'd best shy away. If tactical thinking in military situations has you pissing your pants, then we recommend getting a Bratz game instead. However, for everyone else -- Tactical Strike is a winner. Of course, you can try the downloadable demo to find out for yourself.

For those of you ready to take the plunge into the full game, check out this week's Best Buy circulars. You'll see that Tactical Strike is on sale this week for a measly $20. Go to your local Best Buy, or simply buy online.

I must not like to think. That's what I think.

I tried the demo and had no idea what I was doing. They couldn't fit a little tutorial in that half of a gig file somewhere? This is one of those demos that made me decide not to buy the game.

Anybody like this game?

It got great reviews from a lot of places but when I looked at user reviews at amazon and best buy, they were terrible (at best buy they were all 1 star!!). The demo intrigued me, but it did just drop you into it with no explanation of how to do things. I'm wondering if people are buying it expecting Fire Team Bravo style game play; I would be disappointed too if that were the case.

For $20 I really want to get this. I'm just not reassured by all these user reviews.

Well guys and girls…I “think” this game is very dam good….WHY?

Pros
1. Man this game gives you some intense moments, lots of it baby!
2. This game is long, 1 mission will last for 40+ min ( well for me it took 1 hour + lol…this dos not mean I’m slow)
3. A very beautiful game, very detailed. Sound is good too.
4. In the game you can have a British SAS Squad or Australian SASR, French GIGN, Italian Col Moschin, German KSK, Spanish UOE, Dutch KCT , and Korean I believe. They all have there own language.

Cons
1. Lots of online lag when you play with 4 players, but I rarely get leg when I play 1-1 :)
2. Not a lot of people online…30+
3. The AI I kind of dumb at times lol

All IN ALL it still a very fun game to play once you give it more “thought” and time
Practice makes perfect (sigh)

I have played the Demos a lot of times, going for new places and stuff, even try a solo run......

I`m gonna get this game, and for $20, even more......

I picked it up and damn... it's good. I don't know what all these user reviews are talking about. I guess if you bought it without checking out any previews and thought it was an action shooter, then yeah, it could be a let down. If you play the first mission with the tutorial it shows you everything you need to know and it does it in a real game situation. For $20 this is the best bargain I've ever gotten for the PSP.
