Deal of the Day: Time Crisis 4 for $60
Supposedly, amazon.com had a magical sale where they offered Time Crisis 4 (with Guncon) for $50. We missed out on that limited time only offer -- but the game is still seriously discounted. Now only $60, Time Crisis 4 costs the same as any other game out there. We like collecting peripherals, so we already have a copy. But, should the rapidly dropping price on this game suggest it's not doing as well as Namco Bandai had hoped?

I think I'm the person that got the last one on that previous amazon sale. Should be coming in the mail any day now :)

This game sucks.......I wasted my $80 on it..
andrew @ Dec 11th 2007 10:23PM
Didn't think it was worth it for 50 so 60 is out of the question
Popfrogs @ Dec 11th 2007 10:47PM
Yeah my friend asked me if there were going to be more gun games. "Sure, if Namdai makes more". It isn't 1985 with the Nintendo light gun anymore.
brettjr @ Dec 11th 2007 11:56PM
Don't waste your money if it's true you can't by a second Guncon separately.
andrew @ Dec 12th 2007 12:08AM
You can buy the gun separately on a import site, plus it's not hunter orange.
adamantypants @ Dec 12th 2007 12:24AM
Stop hating on the game people. You either like Time Crisis/Light gun games, or you don't. They never touted this game as something amazing. It's Time Crisis. And I got it for $50.
@Popfrogs: If it's 1985, apparently Nintendo didn't get the memo for their Wii Zapper.

I WANTED to get this game, but then i saw some more trailers and the more i saw them the more this seemed like a letdown.
Anyone wanna entice me to get this? Or should I just save the money for UT3/Orange Box? :S
ViagraFiend @ Dec 12th 2007 10:51AM
Save your money. UT3 is everything I thought it would be :)
Dahk @ Dec 13th 2007 4:12PM
Done. =).

Why do you people think that if one retailer is selling the game at a lower price, that it is not selling well. Amazon has been selling it for $60 for a while now. That is just how Amazon works on some products, they just have really good discounts on random stuff.
This is also a pretty niche game. So I can't see it selling through the roof, but likely enough for Namco to make it worth their time and effort. As someone stated, you either like Time Crisis/light-gun games, or you don't. But then again, a lot of people never got the chance to pump quarters into this game int the arcade when they were a kid. Which is sad. So you never know, you may like it.

I'm pretty sure even with the gun pack in $60 is too much. This games metacritic rating is at 62 with a the two biggest gaming magazines giving it a 35, and 43 respectfully.
Ken Edwards @ Dec 12th 2007 3:51PM
I thought IGN gave it an 80.
kimmy69 @ Dec 12th 2007 3:50AM
Do you know when this comes out in Australia?
Seminole @ Dec 12th 2007 10:23AM
PS3's are region free, so you can buy the game and import it to Australia if you like.
kmonei @ Dec 12th 2007 8:20AM
glad I don't live and die by reviews. I would miss out on some good game experiences.
This game is fun. I plan to import another gun so I don't have to take turns playing with my friends.

I love it when other people make my points for me. Overall scores, like Metacritic and GameRankings should not persuade you.
If you grew up plunking down quarters playing Time Crisis in the arcades, you know what you are going to get. If you are two young to have had the chance, well then you might not like the game.
On-rails light gun shooters are a dying breed, which is a real shame because they are so much fun, especially in the arcades.
