PS Fanboy Best of 2007: Best Fighting Game

Stay tuned all this week as we reveal the our nominees for the very best games of 2007. Winners will be declared on December 27th.

Sometimes you just want to punch something in the face. Unfortunately, not too many games offered PSP owners the ability to throw down the gloves and brawl. In fact, only one title managed to secure a nomination (and an instant win).

And the winner of PSP Fanboy - Best Fighting Game of 2007 is:

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes
CyberConnect2 | Namco Bandai

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes may be a winner by default, but at least it's pretty good. Featuring some fantastic graphics and Game Sharing functionality, Naruto takes advantage of what the PSP has to offer. Add gameplay and presentation that's true to the series and you have a game that Naruto fans can be proud of.

Yeah , I really wonder wich will win :P Maybe Tekken DR should be put up , because it was rereleased this year in Japan :P

Probably cause they weren't released in the US.

Anywho, I own this and its pretty fun. Though Street Fighter 3 Alpha Max is my fav fighter. =P

Guilty Gear Judgment was released summer 06... So it doesn't qualify.

Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai - Another Road was released in March 07, Andrew. There is a crappy fighter that came out in the summer, but it doesn't deserve a nomination.

Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai - Another Road was released in March 07, Andrew. There is a POS fighter that came out in the summer, but it doesn't deserve a nomination.

The PSP definetely needs some more fighting games. Naruto just doesn't do it for me... I absolutely hate its "smashbros-ish" gameplay.

What I need are more classic style fighting games. SF3 3rd Impact would've been great on the PSP. What about that KOF game that was in the making? What about Soul Calibur, Rival Schools... etc? Heck, even the Bleach games would make a great addition if somebody bothered to bring it statesides.
