Valkyrie of the Battlefield still looking amazing
If you haven't realized it already, we're pretty big fans of Sega's upcoming strategy game Valkyrie of the Battlefield. In the newest video that's been released, it appears to show pieces of the game's opening cinematics and other gameplay footage that shows the game's unique twist on the strategy genre. While there's been no confirmation that the title will head to the West, it just looks so damn beautiful that we're continuing to hold out hope.
Valkyrie is developed by Sega's Overworks studio, the same guys who brought us Shinobi, Streets of Rage, Phantasy Star, The House of the Dead and Skies of Arcadia. With such a legendary list of games up its sleeve, we just can't help but be entirely confident that its newest title will have awesomeness in spades.

This looks amazing, are they using mo-cap and then turning it into cel art?

Love the style. love the genre. Love the way they blend two of the coolest things and make something that is worth getting!
Valkyrie will be cool. Hope SEGA does it right and make it work. I love Skies of Arcadia. Games like this really should support awesome DLC. Don't let me down ;(

Off topic, but I wish Sega were more inclined to do sequels. I desperately want to see a next gen Phantasy Star (none of this online stuff - a traditional RPG) and a Skies of Arcadia sequel.
On topic, Valkyrie of the Battlefield looks awesome.

There's actually been some rumors going around of Skies of Arcadia 2 currently being in development.
Speaking of Sega doing sequels, how many more franchises do you want sequels of? Just this year we've seen sequels to Sonic, Crazy Taxi, Sega Rally, NiGHTS, Sonic Rivals, Phantasy Star Universe, Virtua Fighter, Virtua Tennis, Sonic Rush and Alien Syndrome.
Next year, we already know we'll be getting Condemned 2, another Total War, Golden Axe, Sega Bass Fishing, Sonic Riders and another Brain Assist game.
What more do you want? Sure, we'd all love for Sega to make sequels to our favorite old-school franchises, but as NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams has so far proven, they're not always sure-fire hits.

Sonic proved your point also. It hit the market with a thud.

More games like this please... I'm hoping that these are the types of games (read: japanese and gorgeous) that separate the PS3 in the current-gen market.
