Fans show a public display of affection for PS3

SCEA recently held a short film contest, where people were asked to submit videos showcasing their love of PS3 on the internet through "public displays of affection" for publishing on YouTube. SCEA has just unveiled the three winners, all of whom we're proud to showcase here. They each won a PS3 system and five games. Check out the winners, and tell us which one is your favorite.

i pretty much agree with you, the other two are pretty stupid, the first one is obviously mudsling against the 360, the two other ones...idk. i was going to enter, but i thought, if i can't use anything that is copyrighted music is out right? the last two prove me wrong, i think.

Just omg. Give a videocamera to an ape...
A simple description of the PS Universe ad, with remarks about the system's reliability and it being future-proof (and thus screaming "you won't need to buy another entertainment system in the next DECADE" ). "You won't spend every two months waiting for repairs" should be hinted. The ever-growing library of good games in all genres ("you needn't spend $1k on your PC every year") and BD movies in all genres in cinema quality ("real cinema quality at home, no need to go to cramped theatres!" ).
Just 5 seconds of thought were spent on the above hints for making a good ad. Starting from the notion that people don't know what PS3 is (as we already know how sadly uninformed most people are).

The PS Universe ad was awesome, BUT you already had to know everything about the entertainment experience this console brings (thus you already own it). It was cool enough to make several people think about researching "what did I just see in the ad" - but most people will be too lazy to do that and ignore the ad.

I liked how cheesy and homemade all these were. I wish the third one he would have nailed the singing better with a little more practice. I like the 2nd one best, the guy's voice is silly, I just wish at the end when he pointed at the tv he would've said, "THAT ME!"

also, before the 2nd video was accepted for this, homeboy didn't even HAVE a ps3... he's using a ps2 controller, crackin me up.

those suck. They first one is good, but the narrators voice is extremely boring and its audio in general just makes it sound home made.

The first video had great production quality but the entire time it mocked Xbox 360 and talked about PS3 hardware. We know it's nice and expensive dude. The second video was pretty creative and the third I just didn't like the guy. Congrats to all of them, though ;D Free PS3 GREAT SUCCESS!!!

Those were all pretty meh. The first was visually cool, but boring otherwise. I didn't even make it through the second or third ones.

No offense to the people who made these vids, at least they tried (more than I can say), but these all kind of sucked. The first one was the best, but it was too short. The second must've only been considered because: A. Dude didn't have a PS3 anyways so they felt sorry for him or B. Nobody else submitted videos, these were the only three.
