Jump Festa reveals new footage of PS3 Naruto project

CyberConnect 2 is bringing their ninja skills to the PS3 with a currently unnamed Naruto project. The team has been responsible for the Ultimate Ninja series on PS2, which featured a surprisingly fun (and faithful) battle system that followed the events of the early half of the Naruto saga.

At Jump Festa, Namco Bandai unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming PS3 project. Unsurprisingly, it looks a lot like the Ubisoft-developed Xbox 360 Naruto game -- although, we're more than certain that the two will ultimately play quite differently from each other.

Yeah the Ultimate ninja series is surprisingly playable and one of the most fun non-ultra violent fighters for the PS2. What do they mean by starting in 2008. If they are just starting then it won't come to the US until like '09 or later, right? I'm done talking now...

looks better than the xbox 360 one, at least the battle system, but also quite similar graphics wise.

um...yeah it is. This is a new PS3 game not related to the 360 game.

No, he's right that trailer for the PS3 game is not new at all. It's been on youtube for ages.

It's been seen before, but only from a camcorder recording, and without any real sound.

This is the first official release of the trailer on the Internet, and we also get to see some more footage in the beginning, along with credits at the end. We can actually hear the music in this one, too.

As for me, I'm really looking forward to this game.

I liked the 360 game, I hope Namco makes it more varied gameplay wise, and the fight system deeper.

this trailer infact is new, this new one is an extended version showing more of the fighting

I'm honestly dissapointed with Rise of the Ninja. The only best thing about that game is the environment. The rest is pretty crappy. You guys gotta see when Naruto performs Harem no Jutsu. She looks like.. hmm crap?

And if the camera closes up to the face, you can see how brutally bad the graphic is :(

I want Naruto RPG with good graphics, great storyline and a japanese VO (RoN does have a japanese VO, but it came so late a few months after I beat the game).
