Christmas surprise has kid getting phone book instead of PS3
How was your Christmas? Hopefully, it was better than this kids'. A local FOX News report highlights one kid's unfortunate ordeal. Upon opening his PS3 box, he found a very heavy phone book, no PS3 in sight! Granted, a phone book has tons of replayability. But, it just doesn't play games as well as a real PS3. The family will be going back to the store they bought the system from. But, what possible explanation will the store be able to come up with?

What the hell, who wrote this story? Of course there's the potential for legal intervention if somebody stole the PS3 (which is pretty bloody likely). I was under the impression that it IS illegal to steal things in the US, and most of the world. -___-

Same thing happened to one in my family but last year when they were really hard to get. This almost seems like an old story as I have heard them before but all last year. Its even a 60gb PS3.

This is a lot like what happened to me with the first Xbox game I got. I got an Xbox the week after it came out and bought NHL 2002 (The EA game) with it. I opened it up and a blank DVD was in it and that was it. Then we looked at the packaging and it had been sliced damn near perfectly and then put back together. Store gave us a new game and refunded us our money for our trouble. Meijer for the win.

Didn't did happened before but w/a X360. But instead of phonebook inside the box, a phonebook was inside the X360 shell/case (the innards was stripped).
And that pajama prunk was just funny as hell. Poor guy. My sister's fiance did something similar the other day. She thought it was a shoes, but found an iTouch inside the shoe box. He he.

Oh man....I would have openned a royal can of whup-ass in that EBgames. Seriously...I would have drove back to that store and show my reciept, show them the box how I got it, and demand my PS3.. NOW! The first employee to laugh or act like this is a prank I was trying to play on the store was gonna be #1 to feel the pain. Thats messed up...I really would like to know what EBgames does to fix this and how long its gonna take them.

That sucks... That kind of happened to me too.
I went to order a pizza and realized the new phonebook just came. Well when I went outside to get it... someone had stole it and left a PS3 there. I was so pissed... really wanted that pizza.
