odd since the 2 Wal-Marts need me shrank their Blu-Ray and HD-DVD shelfs since New Years Day, but Best Buy's around here increase theirs by a 4 by 6 space (4 rows, 6 boxes wide)
Josh Hughes @ Jan 5th 2008 2:58PM
man...these are actually.....good---wow I didn't think Walmart could do a good ad---are these already airing or they will soon or what?
Ed @ Jan 5th 2008 3:08PM
These are definitely the best ads Wally World has ever made. The Heavenly sword one is especially awesome.
Shinogu @ Jan 5th 2008 3:08PM
That "Ahhb-shessssed" opening sound clip, I could do without. Otherwise, the ads aren't bad. They push the games that people should have bought when they came out, God damn it. I still like the Universe of Entertainment ads better.
John @ Jan 6th 2008 9:57AM
I love that "Ohbshesh'd" thing.
NeoRaiden @ Jan 5th 2008 3:25PM
I don't understand how the first Heavenly Sword ad asked for my date of birth. How is that mature content. It's a TV spot... I can't remember the last time you had to be 17 to watch broadcast TV.
linebeginstoblur @ Jan 5th 2008 4:12PM
I agree. I don't know who flagged that video. I thought it was harmless.
Dahk @ Jan 5th 2008 3:25PM
Lol saw the Uncharted one on TV. Pretty good stuff I must say.
Andy @ Jan 5th 2008 3:39PM
I love the Warhawk one.
"Mom said safety first" lol.
TheEnd187 @ Jan 6th 2008 3:58AM
I honestly have to say that those too dudes take up most of the time and kills the ads. maybe if they extend them and add more gameplay in them, or go back to the universe of entertainment ones. Is this really what grabs Americans hearts? They need to show MOAR gameplay footage those 4 seconds of gameplay are not enough to convince people.
Dru @ Jan 5th 2008 6:07PM
This is huge. Kind of like Oprah's seal of approval on her book club (or whatever the hell it is). Walmart sells and if they're pushing PS3 products then that is significant to me. I don't remember walmart ads for 360 games, do you guys? I've yet to see these PS3 ads on tv yet...
motorer @ Jan 5th 2008 6:40PM
wally had ads for halo 3 (who didn't play halo3 ads?) and bioshock on their HDTVs on display.
Stuff & Co. @ Jan 5th 2008 6:26PM
LMAO @ Heavenly Sword and Warhawk.
This "OBSEEEEEEEEEEESSED!" ads are almost as good as the Universe of Entertainment ads.
"Mom said safety first!"
Inect @ Jan 5th 2008 8:14PM
I seen all these ads on tv for the past two months the warhawk and heavenly sword ads have been on for at least 3-4 months in Canada.
A_N_T_H_O_N_Y @ Jan 5th 2008 8:29PM
I also live in Canada, and these commercials have been airing for months.... I have no idea why the U.S. hasn't got them till now... Weird because of the fact that Wal-Mart is an American based company...
Popfrogs @ Jan 5th 2008 9:47PM
They said "let's test it on Canadians first". :)
B1gC72 @ Jan 6th 2008 1:41AM
i havent caught these on TV yet but they are quite good actually. i like the Ratchet & Clank one, "this is why i can't have nice things" lol. all i see is the Universe of Entertainment here but ill keep an eye out for these too. and why did the Heavenly Sword one need an age? there was nothing edgy in it, well except the guy jizzin his shorts at the end.
plyx @ Jan 6th 2008 3:48AM
Thanks for the spoiler.
Rick @ Jan 6th 2008 3:53PM
these ads are suprizingly very hilarious
"Mom said safety first!" lmao
