Texas professor offers Metal Gear Solid and Philosophy course

What does this have to do with the PS3? Not much, really. But it's a positive showing for Hideo Kojima and gives us hope that MGS4 is not just a system seller to gamers, but for people who enjoy thinking about what they're playing as well. Did that sound a little like BS? Maybe it was. We just thought this was really cool.

Awesome, I always loved MGS's very political and deep storylines.

Can someone please point out to me where this individual claimed to be a professor at a university in Texas? I see "philosophy teacher" but not "university professor." I'm not that savvy with wikipedia, but I'd like to know for which university he (or she) works.

Not sure if the guy is a professor or not. He spelled relevance wrong, spelling it relavance. He spelled Nietszche wrong, spelling it Neitszche. He made quite a few mistakes which I won't point out or else this comment would be too long.

That's not BS, Nick, that's real. This is where great video games go. A professor picked up on it, because Hideo's worlds are so vast, and offer a very real anthropological study.

they should teach philosophy clases of halo considering it took the world by storm! ha na but seriously it wouldnt surprise me i loved mgs and its very smart and incredibly written. the scrip for 2 was a little too ambitious and over reaching but i think it worked out well for me.

I'd excel better in Video Game Physics.
