I think this game would be much better if the only weapons you could use were land deformation weapons...kind of like Portal, where you can only use the Portal Gun. It would make for a more strategic/puzzle-based shooter.

Looks/Graphics its not the best I've seen but I guess that depends on what the lead SKU (PS3/360) on this game. Other than that, AI is terrible plus they look like Nectar Men from HAZE. Its an early build so guess we will just have to wait and see.
:)

I'd be more interested in this title if it wasn't being played on a 360. That tells me that 360 would either be the lead platform, or just the one it looks better on...like every other multiplatform title out there.

I think the graphics are fine. Character is fine, doesn't really NEED to scream super insane originality- I would rather focus on gameplay. Speaking of which, seems okay, but AI is questionable, and yeah, never saw any reloading.
This seems to me like they have the engine and all running smoothly, but are still working on AI and the overall level builds. The firefights were kinda boring.

Why does the person playing the demo always suck? Didn't they help make the darn game? Plus the AI always sucks on these early builds, so someone who sucks (me) could run through this part of the game with little trouble. Oh well, the game does look cool, so I still plan to at least rent it when it comes out. If the multiplayer is as nuts as it could be, it might even be purchase-worthy.

I think they have a game here with a whole boatload of potential, some interesting gameplay mechanics and such but they've been doing a really poor job of showing it off.
Here's hoping they get the next demo fine tuned so that it screams "look at the cool stuff you can do in this game!"
I did think the vortex gun and the rolly-ball-thingy looked cool.
KiraXD @ Jan 8th 2008 4:42PM
Well at least they got rid of his Vanilla Ice haircut. Now it just looks like: Ambiguous Mass Effect Guy VS. Ambiguous Haze Clones.
Tim @ Jan 8th 2008 5:49PM
Wow. Can you say GENERIC! It looks like any other boring run-of-the-mill FPS just with an extra land deforming gun.
I agree with Luke. You only weapon should be the land deforming thing, then it would be interesting. Or at least something major to make it seem a lot less blah.
BananaBoat @ Jan 8th 2008 6:26PM
Am I the only one that thinks the actual shooting gameplay looks terrible? I know that it's probably not the final build, but come on, it's like they were firing nerf guns at alien enemies from 1999.
I want this game to be good, but on the other hand, the excitement (or lack of) that I feel about Fracture, doesn't even compare to the excitement I feel about LucasArt's other game (force unleashed). Force Unleashed is going to be AWESOME.
Think Adrian @ Jan 9th 2008 5:26AM
I hope there will be many puzzles to solve with those cool "weapons"
Impressing!
Emophia @ Jan 10th 2008 3:05PM
Looks like it either needs a good cover system, or it needs to be in First Person...
It looked so akward and unwieldy to aim and walk like that...
Besides that and the terrible AI, it looked pretty fun...
Will wait for demo for judging though...
