Darth Vader and Yoda join Soulcalibur IV [Update]

Yes, this is quite possibly the strangest gaming news we've heard of in a while. Star Wars characters Darth Vader and Yoda have joined Namco Bandai's PS3 fighter, Soulcalibur IV. We could possibly write something funny to describe this situation, but we're confident that you guys will do much better than us.
The franchise has been home to other non-canon characters, such as Link from The Legend of Zelda. What do you think about this Lucas-flavored addition to this fighter?

Yoda would be a right pain in the butt to fight, the knee-capping little muppet. Most of your blows would go right over his wrinkly green head.

and he looks like crap. what's his incentive to find Soul Calibur? power? no, Vader is the one who's all about power. having him in the game makes more sense. he seems like a character who would want to find Soul Edge. and he's more iconic than Yoda, plus you don't have to worry about no facial expressions like the crappy Yoda model LOL.
he's just badass. VaderPS3 FTW indeed.

Ok this is just ridiculous.Look at all the other screenshots of characters!These two are so totaly out of place and its obvious why....their boobs are far to small.

If they actually treated the characters with honors (unlike the whole Star Wars Fighting Game (I think it was called Teras Kasi or something)), then yeah this game will be under my radar. I heard Tekken Characters, Link from Zelda, and Todd McFarlane's Spawn is also in the game..

Seeing those screens makes me think that a Soul Calibur with nothing but SW characters would be cool.
They probably went with Darth and Yoda cos the only thing in Star Wars with breasts as close to Ivys is Jabba the Hut.

Is this for real? If so I'm beginning to want the game, DV looks amazing. So far the pics were dissaponting for me, the colors looked "old" and tasteless, but with Anakin there is another story

Vader is in the PS3 version. Yoda is in the 360 version according to 1Up.

According to IGN, Vader is PS3 exclusive while Yoda goes to the 360. I'm pretty happy either way, although both would have been nice.....

So it looks like marketing at Lucasarts sees the PS3 as the darkside of the force and the 360 as the lightside.
PS3 is more powerful and its owners are full of fear, anger and hatred. As light conquers darkness so shall the 360 win the war.
I'm just messin' with you all. I own both systems and now I'm torn.
Light to dark, dark to light... light to dark, dark to light? Great, now I'm starting to sound like a Dream Theater song.

Very wierd mix...but its only for LOL's (it is a video game after all). Im intrieguied to see how it works out!
Lets just hope its better than Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi (PSX) - which was terrible.

And I get the logic of the whole whole color thing behind it (360=green/white=Yoda/lighside) (PS3=Black=Vade/Darkside)...
Why can't we have both?
Is it really neccesary to remove one character from each version?
Let owners of 360s and PS3s both have both characters...

What is going to happen is that Namco will release the characters as DLC for both consoles respectivaly a couple months after release.
They know people will pay.

Also C3P0 confirmed playable for Wii version.
