Wal-Mart price glitch may get you Haze and Singstar for $30

An interesting slew of price glitches have hit Wal-Mart. The world's largest retailer has pre-orders for two upcoming PS3 games for half their expect MSRP:

Haze for $30
Singstar for $30

We believe that it is unlikely Wal-Mart will honor these orders. "While Walmart.com strives to provide accurate product and pricing information, pricing or typographical errors may occur ... In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to an error in pricing or product information, Walmart.com shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item." However, guess it couldn't hurt, right? And while you're there, you can pre-order Smash Bros on Wii for only $20.

Hmm I always thought you can get away with it. i know I use this rule all the time at futureshop and Bestbuy with the prices of games. Guess it doesnt work online. Getting Assasins Creed for 25$ was the best deal

Says $30 for pre-order, but when you add to cart, it makes it $59. Also, is this still a good deal for SingStar? Don't those games normally cost a little more since they come with a microphone? I don't know, I've never bought one.

they might have caught on to the price errors, but i was able to order the games at those prices. i hope walmart will honor then, i bought 8 copies of super smash bros brawl for 20 bucks each lol

I got it for $29.82 plus tax/ship. Also got Super Smash Brothers Brawl for $19.82 plus tax/ship!! I hope they honor it - doesn't hurt to try.

Singstar Solus is £15 in the UK ($30) anyway. It's the one without the mics...

Surprises me with Haze that they don't seem to be doing a big beta testing already. Having two sides which are non-symmetric is very hard in terms of balancing the game and many games before Haze have failed horribly when trying it.

It wouldn't be great PR for Haze if users a week after launch gamers starts complaining that one of the two sides loses 9 out of 10 online battles on average.

Nah, they did the same type of thing with Resistance and they got the balance right. If the two sides are super unique with extremely different weapon types we may have a problem...but I don't think that's the case here.

Please, for the sake of humanity, DON'T SHOP AT WAL-MART. I am dirt frickin' poor, but saving a few dollars isn't worth the economic toll that wretched company takes on communities.

Do you know one of the reasons Wal-Mart is so successful? Because they damage local economy so much, the only place the locals can afford to shop is at Wal-Mart. Pretty sick.

Mine came to $34. But I haven't received an order confirmation yet. I hope so that would be great. Haze plus Eye of Judgment for under $100! Hell Yeah!

We're not talking about a few dollars here. I estimate I saved $60 (approx. 60%) on the two games I preordered.

Besides, I feel like I'm ripping them off because (if they honor these prices) there's no way they could turn a profit on my order.

well even if it doenst come with a mic (since i got the rock band mic anyway), 30 bucks for singstar isnt bad at all (and it just took my order as well :) )

looks like they fixed it cuz i cant order it anymore. i got in then i asked my friend he wanted one i tried to go back but gone. but singstar is still working :( but i have no interest in that game

In a typical "Wally World" move, they're canceling orders.
I successfully placed a my pre-order for Haze earlier today - received my email confirmation and all that.
Tonight, I received a cancellation notice.
Called Wal-Mart customer support and sat the 10 minutes on the phone to get through. When I finally did, the service rep gave me the song and dance about how sorry they were, but that it's a mistake on the price, and they are canceling all orders. They won't be honoring any order for Haze of SSBB.
Oh well. It was worth a shot.
