For those hungry for a new LittleBigPlanet video, we've got a nice sandwich this morning. It has some delicious meat and cheeses in it ... have we carried the metaphor too far? This video interview shows off some new features being implemented, such as evil Sackboys, more deaths outside of being smooshed or burned, a beta version coming as soon as they can -- but still prior to release, there is a storyline, and each level should take from 5-15 minutes to complete. That length may or may not apply to user-generated content. Anyway, enjoy the video.
I think originally they said that there was going to be a PSN-release first (I assume that’s what they now call the ‘beta’), and a few months later the Blu-ray release with some selected user-created content and extras. So if you look at it that way, the beta could very well be in Q2.
On the pause menu that is brought up I saw in "Quit Game to XMB"
Could this be in game XMB access? (because you can easily quit games already with the home button, so why would it be in game?)
This game is going to rock. I can't wait. I just hope the game arrives in Canada the same day as the States. This will be my PS3 showoff game. It looks like one of the few games that isn't a shooter or a sports game that has offline multiplayer.
Yeah seriously lol. I got boats of people waiting at a crack at LBP. None of them have a PS3 though, so they're all counting on me and anxiously waiting for its release date :S.
Exciting (if unspecific) news about the beta demo as well. A game like this definitely needs to give people a taste of how it plays in order to really succeed. I hope they hammer out the date on that one soon.
Online Beta is the best idea possible to make this game as big a hit as it should be. My only question is will it end up like Home and Warhawk with only chosen people making the cut? I was lucky enough to be chosen for both betas but I think this should be an open beta with anyone with PSN able to join. In my eyes that's the best way to get all the fence sitters sold on it.
I love the idea of user generated levels, why is this not an industry standard in all games yet. DLC is great but only goes so far, user content is def the future of online gaming.

"on blu-ray", wonderful, no PSN purchase so i can use it on many consoles and use different PSN accounts unlike the PSN version of Warhawk

I'd even PAY to get a public beta (and hopefully get a rebate on the finished product :P)
