Folklore DLC finally coming to an end
Who knew the PS3 exclusive adventure Folklore would have so much downloadable content? New costumes and quests were available for fans of Game Republic's adventure for the past few months. However, it's finally coming to an end. Download packs #5 and #6 are on the way, and they promise to reveal some interesting plot points about the motives of the Faery Lord.

You know the DLC made this game such a blast!! I'm really glad that they pushed it for such a long time!! I'm very impressed and look forward to the next project!!

Where's the COD4 DLC? That's what I'm really interested in.
That game desperately needs some more good maps...

I read this to a friend of mine and he laughed... Guess it sounds funny when heard and not read??? **Download packs #5 and #6 are on the way, and they promise to reveal some interesting plot points about the motives of the Faery Lord.** I'm still not getting why she giggled... O.o

I know this is gonna sound kinda jerkish...but...(just as an opinion on a whole...)
You know, instead of having all this downloadable content, especially if it has actual storyline details, why didn't they just wait, and you know...put it in the game instead of giving it to us however many months later? I mean, what gives? Did you want to ship it early and just make money or what?
I don't know if the DLC is free or not, but it's the same thing with a lot of other games they do this stuff for.
Folklore was an awesome game nonetheless though, but since I don't have a cord long enough or a working wireless router I don't get to sample this stuff and it bugs me even more.

Jeez Kadamon, just get yourself a longer ethernet cable (not expensive; you can roll it up and put it away when not needed). :P
OR, bring your PS3 over to where you keep your PC and hook it up to your main box's ethernet and monitor connections. There are plenty of HDMI to DVI cables or adapter plugs if your monitor lacks the appropriate plug.
These addon packs are GREAT and fairly cheap, it would be a real shame if you were to miss out purely because you can't get an internet connection to your PS3...
Personally I'm amazed they kept releasing stuff as long as they did. Oblivion bombed hard with its uber expensive, ridiculed and generally useless horse armor and Bethesda quickly abandoned their flagship title. Folklore has done a much better job with the paid DLC stuff.

I'm sorry, they "abandoned"?
After the horse armor debacle they released nine more DLC packs over the course of a year, with Knights of the Nine and The Shivering Isles being very well received by Oblivion fans.
They didn't abandon anything, they reworked their pricing structure based on the response to people on the horse armor, but they still kept the game going to the point that most people clocked in 150 to 200 hrs.

Can somebody give me a quick rundown of the horse armor debacle? I vaguely remember Bethesda charging and an exorbitant amount for....just that. lol.
There's just something amusing about it. =D

Is there anyone still buying those things?
Folklore is the worst pseudo-rpg i've ever played.
(and who cares about the faery lord...)
(: Nice site though
