Haze four player co-op demonstrated

The often-delayed Haze may still be away from our grasps, but we're excited about the upcoming FPS game's multiplayer options. Like in Warhawk, having three other players join you is as simple as pressing START on the controller. There's no lobby to go through, or a complicated set up procedure. At any time in the single player campaign, your friends can join in. You can play co-op online, through LAN, or at home with friends. That's ambitious, and we can't wait to see how it looks on our TVs (because such low quality web video, we believe, doesn't do this game justice).

I see that Amazon.co.uk has recently changed the release date for Haze from 30th December 2008 to 30th of April 2007. That's a bit close to the GTA IV release. I don't like their chances.

it looks cool and all but what i'm afraid of is when and if resistence 2 and killzone2 come out this game will look sub par to everything else when it comes out finally

Yeah, good point.

I'm still gonna get Haze because simultaneous online AND offline co-op, which I don't think Resistance 2 has (still hope in Killzone 2!).

Resistance 2 has 8 player co-op, and only 2 local.

so yes, it's online co-op in R2.

God. What resoultion is that? It's horrible. But the idea of being able to jump in and out is great. Much better than Halo 3 where you have to go back to the lobby and wait a few minutes for the map to load.

Yeah, but R2 only has 2 play split-screen (up to eight player online), where as Haze can do 4 player split-screen.

This game already has stiff competition in the FPS market on the PS3. It has already been delayed so often that by the time it releases will anyone actually give a toss?

Can't wait for this. Vehicle physics still look pants though. I also dislike the grenade throw animation, the character holds his arm in front of him for too long. But I'm nitpicking.

Yeah but Resistance 2 8 player coop is a different campaign. You can't hop on the single player campaign like in Haze. Imo, both will be great but I have higher hopes for Haze than Resistance 2. Imo, Insomniac should work on a new Ratchet and clank game instead.

I took this game off my "buy" list after the last delay. I have a hunch it will be a poor game.....all these delays remind me of Lair

If anything, a delayed game has a better chance of being a quality product, not the other way around.

There was a time PS had no FPS' worth talking about, apart from Timesplitters, now with luck, we'll have timesplitters 4, Killzone 2, Haze and Resistance 2 for our happy little PS3s, lol

And Team Fortress 2. PS3 isn't exactly hurting for FPS's now. BUT... 4 player split screen co-op is fantastic. That makes it much more of an interest to me.

lol. i think the only chance it has is if it launches before GTA IV becuse once i get that game its gonna be the only one i play for the rest of 08.

Wow, that game looks awesome, but I can't help to be more impressed by Resistance 2. This is going to make me seem like an Xbox fanboy, but does the vehicle set up seem similar to Halo's but better? Meh, probably just all those years w/ Halo: CE. I am loving the '08, '09 PS3 line up. This system is looking great, gotta get one soon!

im pretty sure it doesnt have 4 player split screen. you need two ps3s on lan (or online).

the delay worked out pretty well for me though because one of my friends should have a ps3 aswell by that time. im thinking of moving 2 tvs into the same room for it, but im not sure how it will work with only one tv using my surround sound setup and the other one just using the tv volume.

Ah yeah, it does have 4 player split screen, I saw it in one of the earlier haze interview videos.

Please! read the news! Resistance is the PS3 best online experience.. you should get it, if you dont have it, great story, great action, the game looks dated now of course but you can still play it over and over.

I really think Haze deserves this low quality video coz all of the delays it has put us through! i cant wait for this game! looks great but the fact that they dont set a final release date pisses me off!!

Even if Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 Look better, I will still probably get Haze just for the 4 Player Split Screen Co-op.

Everytime my son or I have a third player, His Friends or mine, we always have the same problem. Limited games we can play together. Deathmatching 2 vs 1 is usually what we get stuck with. That or Warhawk or NHL2K7... or Taking Turns.

As long as Haze does not suck I will be buying simply for the Split Screen Co-op.

Hey Developers... Some of us have friends that are not of the Online Variety...
