Super Robot Wars Portable announced

The game, originating on the old Game Boy in 1991, brought about a tactical role-playing style weaving in multiple storylines that are too complex for us to get into -- mostly because we don't understand Japanese. Importers should note, however, the menu system for the games are always simple enough for non-Japanese speaking players to understand. So when it releases in mid-June, don't be afraid to get your hands on this one.

Ok, this is good news for me, I love this series, is one of my favorites games ever, althought I don't understand the language, I've been play almost all of the sagas 10 years ago, so I had a way to know what I'm doing, hehe. Again, excellent news.

It's a frikin' great grid-based SRPG series; plays just like FFT or Disgaea. Its appeal may come mostly from the Robots and characters from many anime series it always carries, and the great care put into special attack animations and stuff. Sadly, none of these games has ever made it to the US... guess because of licensing issues.
Still... Since they'll never localize this game, the Japanese version should include an english option... I'm pretty sure there's a lot of importers out there for this games.

thanks for the description. I will give it a shot. there was one called scramble 2nd that has this sweet shogun warrior from way back that you could play as. I would prefer the "Virtual On" style game but I really never tried the strategy type so I should try.

You can always check youtube for videos, so if you can, check some of the attacks, they're frikin' sweet.
