Australia gets a new lineup of PS3 bundles

We would never forget about our lovely fans in the outback! Our Aussie PS3 enthusiasts should know that a new series of PS3 bundles is on the way, each with a game that is entirely worth the $799.95 RRP admission price. With the PS3, you get two Sixaxis controllers and any one of the following titles: Heavenly Sword, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction or NBA '08. There's something for everyone in these bundles, but if you've already got a PS3, we see there's a bigger issue to resolve. Although, you probably have most of these amazing titles anyway, right? The bundles will be available February 14th.

EB-games and Im fairly sure JBHIFI have been doing this deal for a while now. Something like a saving of 75 of our aussie dollars? Its a great deal. If I didn't already have a beautiful PS3 I would get the uncharted bundle.

Here's a shiny new bundle with an extra controller and your choice of games that don't have multiplayer options ... hmmm. (Maybe the NBA one does I don't know).

Congrats on new bundles with popular games though. I got my 60GB model and still had to shell out for two games so I could play more than the demos.

ok cool and all...but what about the price of games in Oz?! On avg, almost $90-105 AUD and with current currency rates thats 80-90 USD. I'm living there temporarily and will not be buying games from retail. I bought my ps3 in north america and will buy from play-asia.

Yeah tell me about it. I imported most of my games from canada for $70-80AUD w/shipping... Cant do it now though because I have found issues with playing online with my friends.

skate didnt work at all online on non-ranked games.
COD4 has recently stopped working after the US patch went up.
COD3 never worked.

So now Import all my single player games from .ca DMC4 in enroute :P

is this supposed to be cheap? im sure ive seen a 699 bundle. Not to mention the fact ive got myself & 2 other mates a ps3 and all came less then 700. 40 and 60 gigs.

This deal wont appeal to the casual customer at all.

how is this a good deal? they're ripping us off. I have got three PS3's from overseas all for under 700 bucks. Heck and im talking before the price cut.

The casual gamer is being jibbed, they wont know this. Thats why they'll pick up a terrible 360 isntead.

Not to mention games at 100+ when they retail at 60 pretty much everywhere else. yuk sony, just yuk.
