Satin Silver PS3 hitting Japan on March 6th

We all know the Japanese love their gaming systems in many different colours, which is why it's no surprise that Sony has announced that another PS3 colour is being released in the region on March 6th of this year for 39,980 yen. The "Satin Silver" PS3 is another member of the 40GB SKU which Sony have stated many times that they are focusing on in the Japanese and European region.

A Dual Shock 3 will also be released in Silver at the same time, priced at 5,500 yen, but will not come bundled with the console. This seems to us to be a wasted opportunity to start phasing out the Sixaxis, which is what ultimately should happen. Of course, putting a DS3 in the box would probably raise the price and after two price drops in its first year, a price raise, even with a good reason, would be risky business on Sony's part.

That looks nice. I wouldn't mind having a silver PS3. I like it far more than the white. Black has to be the best though

they are finally relasing all the colors that were introduced at the 05 E3 took them awhile thats for sure

Really dont like the silver. Much prefer the white. All good though more colour choices the better in my opinion. Now if only they realised europe exists. :P

Sweet, another Euro-whiner. The US and Canada doesn't get this color either. We don't even get the white ones yet which Japan seems to have already. Not to mention NOBODY but Japan has the DS3.

If you want to see whining go on the uk official PS3 forums. Oh and they have a right to whine, the biggest PS3 market gets dumped on repeatedly. Thats whining.

For the U.S whiners...... Now if only they realise Europe, America and Australia exists. Better?

It's not whining when you have a valid complaint. If you're the PS3's second largest market, there's no excuse for Sony to hold demos and games back from you (first party games of course, Sony doesn't control every game). However, what percentage does the UK make of Sony's PS3 sales? Is it really that large of a market?

What difference does it make where you are? Why do you have to bash someone for feeling exactly the same way you do, but because they're in a different continent you cant support that comment and also highlight its the same crap your having to deal with there.
Why does there have to be a 'us vs them' mentality?

Also, how come Chowley is a 'Euro-whiner' for wanting additional coloured PS3s in Europe (amongst other things), however your not a whiner for wanting it in America, because apparently you wanting it is a valid complaint, but someone in Europe wanting it isnt valid?? Grow up.

Sorry I couldn't hold that in any longer after the announcement of the white in Japan and then the rumor of the white in the US. I still like the black beast best but the Satin Silver does look pretty nice. I think it looks better than the white (the white just looks like a beta/prototype cheapy demo) and if the finish is really "satin" it might make people complaining about fingerprints happier.

I wasnt whining it was actually a positive post if you read it properly, ending with a tongue in cheek comment.
Despite the fact we have every reason to be pissed off. I have long ago accepted the fast europe has always and will always be shafted by sony and nintendo etc. Australia is even worse from my experience there.

No idea about UK sales. Im not from UK. Im going on the recent sales figures that were allover the net a few months ago. It did'nt go into specific country sales. Ill go look for the article but yes if i remember correctly Europe (nowhere did i mention uk, anyone from europe speaking english is British or referring to it?) is the largest market.

Anyway good luck and stop jumping on people with insults and ridiculous arguments, senseless crap.
