New Killzone 2 concept art discovered
Using some first-rate detective work, the guys at ripten have unearthed a slew of gorgeous concept art spanning the entire Killzone series, including the highly anticipated Killzone 2. The person responsible for these amazing pieces of art is Xavier Marquis, a concept artist born in France who has worked for video game companies such as Sony, Eidos and Ubisoft.
Several of the Killzone images were published in the June 2007 issue of ImagineFX, a fantasy and sci-fi digital arts magazine, but up until now, we really haven't seen many of them. The series has always had a great artistic look to many of the characters and Marquis really fleshes them out in his work. Hopefully, we'll continue to see his work for a long time.

Can't wait for this game. One of the reasons I bought PS3, that and Warhawk/FF Series...

Now all they need to do is release a demo or unaltered screenshots... come on, please?
I really want to like you KZ2, but you're not giving me much to go on here. Optimism still doing well, but give me something.

The videos done nothing for you? They show you what the game looks like untouched. (Heck, the actual game will actually exceed the videos, as they're taken from a now out-dated build).
IMO, the video looks far more impressive in motion than the still, touched up screenshots did.
(Oh, and I can't help finding it slightly odd that you are making such a big deal out of the whole touched up screenshot thing; pretty much all promotional screenshots are touched up in this manner, not just KZ2.)

Im with you trev. Massively stoked for this game but the delay, lack of anything new and persistant rumours of going over budget and sony's unhappiness do nothing to ease my fears.
I mean if all this money was being poured into insomniac, I wouldnt open my mouth - but Guerilla...

This game will not disappoint. The recent E3 trailers and screenshots were totally unaltered and they prove it by showing all the layers of the graphics and the completed screenshot.
Trust me, Resistance 2 has a lot of competition this time around...

That's some seriously sweet concept art.

Please, please, please god, don't let this game fail!!

Does anyone else think the guy in the pic above look strikingly familiar to Gordon Freeman?

Yeah, at a glance I thought this was a Half-Life post. If they made the red bit orange and gave him glasses they would probably be indistinguishable.

Good call. That was the first thing I thought until I noticed the Helghast.

Sorry guys, those are from Killzone Liberation. The obvious ones from Killzone 2 have already been shown at E3 in July. Nothing new there.
