Second Eye of Judgment set begins to be translated

With the second set of Eye of Judgment cards coming soon to Japan, Gamespot's Japanese site has published images of several of the cards, and the EOJ community has quickly set out to translate them. Not surprisingly, the new set of cards will bring with them several character abilities not found in the first set.A quick rundown of some of the new abilities include magic protection; nullification of an opposing enemy's dodge attempt; spell interrupt, which disallows your opponent from using a spell for two turns; and pile search, just to name a few.
What's exciting is with just a few of the cards translated, there's already signs of the second Eye of Judgment set bringing in some drastic tactical changes that are sure to keep the game interesting for a long, long time. This set is scheduled to be released at the end of March in Japan.

Please, please, please add more player interaction. The game is interesting, but you're completely prevented from influencing your opponent's game in any direct manner. I'd love to see counterspells and other cards playable on the opponent's turn. Anything to make it so you're not helpless when it's not your turn.

Sounds like you want to play Magic the Gathering rather than Eye of Judgement. In my opinion, EOJ is completely different than Magic in that Magic is fun and EOJ... isn't.

Sounds like you need to fine-tune your strategy or get more cards. I've been backed into a corner by Japanese players that have done amazing things with the right combination of cards. One game, a guy threw down 4 different cards that played off of each other...one gave protection to the other 3 (and had perfect dodge, and multiplied protection for each unit based on how many of that unit were present), one lowered the mana cost, one generated 1 free mana per round...it was insane. That guy handed me my ass and he wasn't in check one time.
When you get to that point, you don't worry about what the other player does next. You just sit back and wait.

Edge, you may not like it, but there's a huge community that does!!!
Sure the cards are not reaching the price of some of the zillions MTG top cards, but check Ebay, and you'll be amazed.
This week:
One of each cards for the first EoJ expansion: Ebay 90195122207 $461
The top 5 cards in one auction: Ebay 20196987038 $155
So if you didn't like it, rush and sell your cards on Ebay, you may end-up getting your full money back from people who really like the game!
Also check the US playstation forum where you will see a few threads from MTG players who absolutely love EoJ and are currently trading cards from both games.
Since this game came out, I didn't play any of the other 9 games I own! I had plan to buy Burnout and maybe DMC4 but so far, I don't see the need until I get bored from EoJ and this may take a while : )

Is it just me, or does the monster on that card have a striking resemblance to the Malboro monster from the Final Fantasy series. Just needed to point that out.
