Another Thursday, another PSN update and, boy, have we got a treasure trove of content for you? Well, not really. There's a lot here but a lot is filler.
Go! Sports Skydiving is almost certainly not worth a purchase, though
Crash Bandicoot 3 definitely
is. Here's the full release list:
- Go! Sports Skydiving full game ($4.99)
- Crash Bandicoot: Warped PS1 game ($5.99)
- Lost Planet demo (free)
- Rock Band DLC
- Kiss' "Calling Dr. Love" ($1.99)
- B-52's "Roam" ($1.99)
- Faith No More's "We Care A Lot" ($1.99)
- Motorstorm "Chinese New Year" add-on (free)
- MLB 08 The Show "First Look" video (free)
- Uncharted "Final trailer" (free)
- Burnout Paradise "Dev Diary" video (free)
- Burnout Paradise "Launch Trailer 1" (free)
- Burnout Paradise "Launch Trailer 2" (free)
- Conflict: Denied Ops "Dev Diary 1" (free)
- Wall-E movie trailer (free)
- 30 Days of Night Blu-Ray trailer (free)
- Uncharted Wallpaper 6 (free)
- Uncharted Wallpaper 7 (free)
We've always been curious as to why we receive "Launch Trailers" on the store several weeks after the game's initial launch. Is it some attempt at ironic humour? Who knows. Have you downloaded
Crash Bandicoot: Warped yet? No? Well get a move on!

No on Go! Sports? I was considering buying it.......Any chance of a review? I hope so! Any way thanks! I'm gonna go play Lost Planet now!
JayMart @ Feb 7th 2008 4:57PM
I'm still hoping for Crash Team Racing as well.
JayMart @ Feb 7th 2008 4:57PM
Crash 2>>1>>3
Kodros @ Feb 7th 2008 4:59PM
With Naughty Dog's history, I wonder if they are going to make a crappy Uncharted Racing game after Uncharted 3 comes out =)
aaron_k7 @ Feb 7th 2008 5:29PM
Dude...CTR was great...not as good as Mario Kart I grant you, but still, what is?
Mcx @ Feb 7th 2008 5:04PM
OMG Crash bandicoot 3 ive been waiting for this since i first got my ps3 downloading now, This was the first playstation game i ever owned
JayMart @ Feb 7th 2008 5:13PM
Ya -Naughty Dog- will abandon -Uncharted- like they did the -Crash Bandicoot series- & -Jak series-.
They'll shit out 2 more Uncharted games & move on.
cycopl @ Feb 7th 2008 5:28PM
They didn't really "abandon" the Crash or Jak series. They stopped developing Crash games because their contract with Universal was up, and they became a developer for Sony and started the Jak series. Another developer started working on new Crash games (and they're still coming out to this day). I guarantee a new Jak game will come out on the PS3 eventually.
aaron_k7 @ Feb 7th 2008 5:33PM
So what? Continuing to develop sequels can be problematic. Yes, you have a good fan base, but at the same time the quality will inevitably diminish (e.g., Tomb Raider). I applaud game developers for starting new and interesting series instead of rehashing the same game over and over again.
Game_playa @ Feb 7th 2008 5:20PM
why wont it work it keeps saying connection failed ( should I get a Xbox)
Phizzy @ Feb 7th 2008 8:48PM
Should you????????????
aaron_k7 @ Feb 7th 2008 5:28PM
Dude, just give me some Crash Team Racing. That game was great! Much better than any of the platforming Crash games. Dingodile ftw!
orthonovum @ Feb 7th 2008 5:46PM
Lost planet eh? cool... downloaded it..

cant connect to ANY room/match..
deleted
Tim Parsons @ Feb 7th 2008 6:26PM
720P for me,. online only sucks yes,. and I couldnt connect either kept sayign rooms were full when I tried to enter one
cycopl @ Feb 7th 2008 6:33PM
Same here. Ran in 720p (in the menus at least), but I couldn't connect to ANYTHING. Either "connection failed" or "room is full", even if the room is only 1/8 people. I tried creating a game, sat there for five minutes in an empty room by myself, and gave up. That demo has some issues.
Tim Parsons @ Feb 7th 2008 6:25PM
Can anyone actually get the Lost Planet demo working?? I can't connect with it. Everytime I try to join a match it says room Full and it sits on the screen doing nothing when I create one.
Joel @ Feb 7th 2008 6:29PM
Yeah, the rooms fill up very quickly. Try creating your own match. That's what worked for me.
enigma137 @ Feb 7th 2008 6:41PM
SKYDIVING ROCKS !!! BUY IT
spyker @ Feb 7th 2008 7:01PM
Starting downloading about 10 minutes ago. Looks good and it's cheap.
Steve @ Feb 7th 2008 7:09PM
Please describe how it is! I'm hoping to buy it as long as it gets a decent review....
Jove @ Feb 7th 2008 7:10PM
man this guys scrazy... skydivings awesome and it is worth a purchase!
Riley Freeman @ Feb 7th 2008 7:52PM
this demo is terrible this is the second one that has done this. it doesnt work. i hate when they release these broken demos
Tony @ Feb 7th 2008 8:57PM
After hearing you guys praise the lost planet demo I quickly downloaded only to fun that it doesn't work. Like the above people I always get game full or connection failed and no body joins my games.
Phizzy @ Feb 7th 2008 9:09PM
Well I played it a lot last night, and it was quite easy to get onto a server, though it did need a couple of attempts sometimes. Also, I noticed it looked like it was limited to 16 servers, with 8 players each. I think there are more Americans than that... So that might be what's stopping you from connecting.
lionzub @ Feb 7th 2008 9:26PM
So I'm trying the Lost Planet demo. Can't connect to anyone outside North America, and I can't connect to any NA matches cause the rooms fill up or when I get in it just says in the Lobby. I try to create and nobody join. Great job Capcom.
Desi_D @ Feb 7th 2008 9:33PM
test
emaxximus @ Feb 7th 2008 10:19PM
If you want people to buy your game, you would be better off not even releasing a demo than releasing one that DOESNT EVEN WORK for most people. But hey, I'm just someone who likes to play video games so what do I know. Pffftffftftfffftttt. pffft (fart noise) (and smell)
Phizzy @ Feb 7th 2008 10:47PM
It's not the demo you've downloaded, it's the servers, they broke some time after the NA version of the demo was put up.
emaxximus @ Feb 8th 2008 9:50AM
Online only demo to me means: servers broken = demo broken = lots of people with a really bad first impression

NeoGAF user:
"Skydiving impressions!
First off, it's about a billion times better than SKI, thank gawd. Just played some two player and it was a blast.
The controls are very smooth...you only need to tilt the controller very lightly, as large motions screw up the gameplay. I never felt like I was in control with SKI, but I feel very much in control with the skydiving portion. Not so sure on the landing, only played a tiny bit before playing co-op.
Four players can join up, and I can see that being a blast. Everyone has to get in formation as quick as possible, and just with the two of us it was pretty frantic.
Not sure how deep this is, and I can see it getting a bit stale for single player, but multiplayer impressions are very positive so far. Graphics look great also, and the production values seem to have been bumped up slightly.
Pretty pleased so far! Only thing I dont like is, so far, the landing and skydiving is separated into different modes...I don't like that."

It seems like there are two type of people, sixaxis capable, and sixaxis retarted people.
Mein Bratwurst @ Feb 8th 2008 12:45PM
This man speaks the truth.
emaxximus @ Feb 8th 2008 5:12PM
You forgot the third type of person, the kind that doesn't know how to spell "retarded".
Mein Bratwurst @ Feb 8th 2008 9:19AM
Damnit SCEA, where's my Theme Hospital?!
