There's a cryptic message over at
Team ICO Gamers -- "The Giants are coming" with a tab in the upper-right of the website indicating only "February 10th". Does this have something to do with the next game by the developer? Or is it something much less exciting, like, say, a site redesign? They left it cryptic and vague, so we'll do the same by letting your imaginations run wild. Tomorrow we'll find out, we guess.
[Update 11:34AM: Their site's been down for a few hours now. We figured it might be a site redesign since it is just a fansite -- but the most important fansite. We'll keep checking and updating, so you guys keep your eyes peeled and let us know if you see anything first!

I don't know. I'd love a sequel/prequel to Shadows of the Colossus, but I'm also pre-sold on any new IP they conjure up as well. The effects they could muster up with the PS3 is exciting.

Shadow of the Colossus and previous to that ICO are considered hidden Jewels for the PS3! By far in my opinion these two games are the most artistic and original games out period! Shadow of the Colossus is one of my all time favorite games for the PS3 and its one of those games you play and can't put down!! Go get it while you still can!! ICO is extremely rare now so its good collectibles!

Yeah, it's a game everyone should play. It can be extremely difficult, or very easy, but here's a quick summary:
Your girlfriend is dead and waits on an altar for you to bring her back to life. You have to hunt down gigantic creatures, climb them and stab them in their kill zones a few times, then go back to the altar and find out where a new monster is.
Doesn't sound real great, I know, but you owe it to yourself to play it. It should be easy to find cheap and if your PS3 has BC, you should definitely buy it today.

If you haven't played Shadow you really have missed out on one of the best 'experiences' on PS2. Epic in scope, achingly beautiful at times. When's the last time you choked up playing a video game? And I'm not talking Devil May Cry which will indeed make you cry out of frustration (hurts so good!) I'm talking choking up because the game made you *care* about the characters, and the place, and all you had accomplished? Do something wonderful and get this game!

yea i havent played it either. i saw it in the bargain bin once but bought Far Cry: Vengeance for my Wii instead.....i can say in hind site that that was possibly the worst gaming decision ive ever made lol. ive seen enough of it though to be excited about a PS3 game by Team ICO. and i think we certainly missed out on a good one. ill pick up Shadow of the Colossus sometime though.

I've said before, and I'll say it again ... if Sony ever release ICO and SotC in HD for the PS3, I will buy it in a heartbeat. If they release them with additional material, in less than a heartbeat.

i thought i was the only one that noticed that ARE was also in all caps. thats certainly worth noting since it has to have something to do with that. the only thing is, that's the point of these cryptic messages so i doubt we'll be able to figure it out just based on that title and then we'll go "ohhhh" when they do announce what ever it is they are working on.

TeamICOGamers is a fansite, not only that but their site is now down - also, the picture was an old one from a Team ICO job listing on which TeamICOGamers just slapped "The Giants are coming" over the top. EGM's rumour section did mention however that Team ICO's newest game would soon be revealed, but I personally doubt they would do it through a fanmade blog-site, surely it's more likely they'll debut it at GDC?
