European release dates are usually up in the air until someone announces a big delay, or some kind of issue causes a game to get a much later release than its Japanese or American counterparts. Sony has promised that Europe will see a release of
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue sometime in late March. No price or solid release date, naturally, but it's still interesting to see the game almost upon us. The US release date is still tentative, but aiming at a mid-April launch. When we get more solid confirmations, we'll let you know!

Now that's new. A game coming out in Europe before the US.

I can't wait for this game. Is it as fun without the steering wheel? By the way, where can I buy a relatively cheap steering wheel? (Can I have a link to a certain models) Thanks.

You know, I have the Japanese demo and at first I thought "this is nice, but it's like GT4 on PS2 with HD graphics".
Then I dug out my old GT Force (the original Logitech Ps2 wheel that came out with GT3) and hooked it up. It was waaay more fun.

I saw them for as low as $30 used on Craigslist here in Toronto. Ebay is probably cheap too.
But alas, this wheel is too old for Burnout Paradise, which only supports more recent wheels. Then again, that game is so crazy fast that I probably would tire myself out playing it that way.

Actually, the U.S. has a confirmed date for GT5: Prologue - April 17
Dru @ Feb 12th 2008 10:12PM
That's what I thought too. It was announced a 2 or 3 weeks ago even...

damn the US gets screwed on this.
dave @ Feb 12th 2008 9:03PM
Number of times that the U.S.A and Europe have been screwed by late game releases:
U.S.A : 5
Europe : 5823
Be glad you live in the U.S.

Logitech G25 is far superior and officially supported on the PS3 :D
Cornelius @ Feb 19th 2008 11:18AM
@gooftroop
Not to mention $100 cheaper. I have a G25- I say that the shifter is overrated (it feels much cheaper and flimsier than the wheel and pedals), so I usually just use the paddles on the wheel like a sequential gearbox. It's a great wheel for the price.
And it also works for the PC.

"No price or solid release date, naturally, but it's still interesting to see the game almost upon us."
The release date has been known for ages, most (if not all) UK retailers have it listed as 28th March and prices vary from £15.99 to £24.99

C'mon! Are you suprised that GT5P comes here (Europe) before than US?!!?!? I'd be very disappointed if Poliphony and Sony decided to take it out here the last... Just becose WE (Europeans) have bought most games of GT series than the rest of the World putted toghether!
So... Please, don't boder me with this "suprise" news.
