Reminder: Lost Planet demo is back online

That was the sound the servers at Capcom made when Lost Planet went live on the PLAYSTATION Network. Perhaps they didn't expect the demo to be as popular as it was? Well, after taking the demo down, it's back on the Store for download. In fact, many of you have e-mailed us saying it works fine now.
We enjoyed our time with the demo before the demo issues became burdensome. Jump online, don a mech, and see you online.

That compass/map in the corner looks completely useless. I have ADHD.
Tim Parsons @ Feb 16th 2008 1:15AM
it is useless
Vincent060 @ Feb 16th 2008 9:34AM
Actually, in the demo, you have to activate data posts scattered around the map for the radar to work, showing your allies, enemies, and other posts.

Based on this Demo I would say this game totally Sucks!! Not even a rent for me.
Justin @ Feb 16th 2008 1:20AM
Agreed. The demo did NOTHING for me.
Maybe the single-player is better, but that online was complete nonsense.

I will get this on the exclusive basis that being that you can be megaman. I have wanted a new MegaMan Legends for eight years. At least I can play the Yosyonke music through seperate speakers and PRETEND that I'm playing MML3.
That's how much I like MegaMan.

This demo just saved me $60. The multiplayer is horrible! In the current next-gen console mix of online multiplayers, this game is barely playable. I deleted after trying out two different maps. It doesn't take long to realize the Xbox 360 didn't have a good exclusive game here. This only goes to confirm my purchase of the PS3 in the early part of the race.

I thought it was a lot of fun, but the lobby has a lot of bugs. Even after the demo's re-release, I only connect to maybe 20% of the servers I try, and that's being generous. The 8 player servers seem kind of small, but the full game is 16 players so that's a bit better... The gameplay itself is really fun though, I love the grappling hook. Also, it's debuting at $40, so you wouldn't be wasting $60 on it.
eugene @ Feb 17th 2008 8:23AM
so you'd only be wasting 40 bucks is what you're saying?
Emophia @ Feb 16th 2008 12:10PM
I like it, I will buy it.
I've played it on the PS3 before though, so it's nothing surprising.
Good healthy fun.
Popfrogs @ Feb 16th 2008 12:21PM
"I've played it on the PS3 before though, so it's nothing surprising."
Are you sure about that?
Emophia @ Feb 16th 2008 1:20PM
Typo, I played it on the 360 before.
This thing needs edits.
Metoo @ Feb 16th 2008 12:52PM
The atmosphere is nice, but the gameplay is too slow for online play (especially after Warhawk). I'll still rent it for the single player.
parkd @ Feb 16th 2008 1:39PM
The game was more of a rent for me. It's really "meh." I rather spend my money on other games...such as maybe Dark Sector.
xrich @ Feb 16th 2008 6:08PM
horrible, horrible demo...this game absolutely sucks...
gregory mitchell @ Feb 17th 2008 2:20PM
Game sucked on 360 game will suck on Ps3.
HaloEleven @ Feb 21st 2008 12:35PM
Just tried it this morning. Every game I tried to connect to said "Connection Failure", "Game No Longer Exists", or "Players Have Already Been Matched". What an enjoyable online experience!
