Upcoming Warhawk expansion hinted at on PS.Blog

Dylan Jobe's latest post on the PlayStation.Blog was a long list of upcoming features for Warhawk's v1.3 patch. Not only that, but the post also contained a number of subtle hints towards a future expansion. In the image above, showing how Home-launched Warhawk games will appear in the server list, is a listing for a level, "Vaporfield Gl...", that isn't currently available.

When asked by a commenter about an expansion listing that has appeared on a number of PSN release date lists under the name of "Operation Broken Mirror", Dylan oh-so-subtly remarks on how interesting his own ASCII art looks. Clicking on the ASCII art at the bottom of his post takes you to this image. It's a broken mirror! How clever.

No doubt we'll be hearing more about this before too long, especially with GDC happening next week. If we learn anything new, we'll be sure to let you know.

yeah....I saw this earlier.....I FREAKIN LOVE WARHAWK!!!! I especially love how Insomniac continues to support the game after release. Honestly Warhawk is my favorite game on Ps3 right now....why isn't it everybodys?? Can't wait for the new functionality!!! Other fellow Warhawk fanboys add me...

It's INCOGNITO, not Insomniac. Insomniac makes R&C and Resistance games. Just a minor correction, a lot of people get it mixed up.

I wish it were easier to get War Hawk. PSN doesn't accept my debit card at all. Theres no PSN cards. And NOBODY has the game in stock anywhere.

Haha yeah I saw that ASCII thing. Pretty frickin' clever =P.

Man I wish I had more time to play Warhawk =/ So busy these days. And I'm still trekking through my second play through of Uncharted trying to get all the unlocks lol.

Btw off topic but, man does anyone know good places to kill 3 people with 1 grenade in Uncharted? Can't frickin get the Super Dyno Mite thing lol, so hard.

Dahk: You know the area with loads of spike traps after you've been in the plane wreck and climbed across the cliff face? Grenade launcher there and 4-7 bad guys I think running at you at once.

Back to the topic at hand..

I like the idea of alternating between giving some free content in a patch then releasing a paid expansion. Sure we'd love everything extra free but they need to be paid for their work and hopefully an even awesomer sequel. :D

Warhawk sucks bigtime (for me). There is no point bringing out these kind of time and money wasting expansions.

Lol, I think Dylan Jobe just wants to spill everything to their customers. I mean, he's hinting at Home coming out soon and this new expansion pack. I hope Sony doesn't catch on. Lol!

yeah dylan jobe is one of the best posters at playstation.blog. he gives alot fo info and also replys more than every other poster put together. cant wait for new expansion hopefully it has new weapons or vehichles though so not just paying for a new map. unless they lower the price from the last expansion

It says Vaporfield Gl... not Vaporized Gl... :|
Vaporfield Gl.. Might be Vaporfield Glacier and that would be a snowy map!
Also, cause it's Broken Mirror, the map is probably not going to be symetric unlike the others

If you guys read through all of Dylan's follow-ups in the comments area, he repeatedly mentions "the new vehicles" when people ask him about new vehicles, or make suggestions for some.

I'm guessing the next expansion, or even a patch, will introduce new vehicles. I think it would be lame to make it a expansion-pack-only thing. Hopefully it's in a patch so everyone can enjoy.

Everyone can enjoy it, just fork out the $8 or whatever, it's not a big amount of money and if you're going to use it then whats the problem.

a lot of people have stopped playing this game because people keep doing teamkills, or get bossed around. for this reason i suggest everyone who hasn't played this game go to the blue servers, its a lot funner that way. other then that theres only 3-4 out of 100 or so, white servers i use. i like the game, but i hate a lot of people on it, its a shame since the game has a lot of potential.
