Dragonball Z Burst Limit gameplay: features grunting men

There are those who love Dragonball Z games and those who despise them. It's generally the same group of people who enjoy or don't enjoy the anime. When you watch this video, though, you might get the feeling there's a pretty cool fighting game beneath the surface -- they've been steadily improving in quality over the years. Goku faces off against Krillin in this gameplay footage and for those who follow the show, the outcome of the battle should be obvious. We'll keep tabs on this game until it hits shelves later this year.

I'm a bit worried the gameplay doesn't look as good as the Budokai Tenkaichi series :( Though the graphics are certainly superior

Ditto, the gameplay in the Tenkaichi series already looks superior. This looks like its gonna be exactly like the Budokai series all over again.

I actually liked the Budokai series better(well 2+3) because they felt like a good fighting game. The Tenkaichi series was good, but the (almost) over the shoulder made it feel like it was an action/adventure. I just personly like it better as a fighting so i'm looking forward to this.

im with you on this one. i like the Tenkaichi games but regular Budokai 2+3 where better. i dont really like the over the shoulder thing that much either even though it does seem to be more accurate to the show. i also dont like having that many characters either since i never use them all anyway. i always stick to Teen Gohan, Vegeta (any of them), and occasionally Gotenks or Goten. this one looks to be right up my alley though.

I'm an old DB/DBZ fan. (Since 1993, when first discovered it) I like my screaming asians thank you very much.

finally back to the budokai series gameplay. i hated tenkaichi games but i'm glad to see it go back to the budokai style

Budokai 3 was the best DBZ game imo.... this one is a definate buyer for me from what I have seen so far.

It appears that the game includes the better elements of the Budokai & Tenkaichi series. It looks a lot like the Budokai series but the Ki blast and instant transmission techniques derive themselves directly from Tenkaichi. I'm excited about this game.

Now, don't backtrack on a large list of characters. If this game, as anticipated only goes through the Cell Saga, I'd be rather disappointed. Budokai 3 included everything up through the Dragon Saga. I'd love to see that in this game.

There was way too much fighting in that clip, they would have spent a whole minute staring at each other and having flashbacks, another 30 seconds powering up then Krillin would have been beaten down in 15 seconds leaving 15 seconds for Goku to cast pity upon his fallen foe.

... if it's not Tenkaichi, then I'm not buying it. I can't stand the Budokai series. Hopefully they'll come out with a next-gen Tenkaichi soon *fingers crossed*

notice how u don’t need 2 charge ki
for more then a burst of a second , therefor the “burst limit”.
online mode is already revealed for this game.
look at the battle with nappa for new exciting special abilities as deflecting kamehameha waves !
seamless transition between air and ground battle!
I wish they will add the ability 2 walk and run when 2 are on ground!

DBZ is one of the only animes where i prefer the dub....except from the whole missing content but that's the writers/producers not the voice actors...
Anyways the graphics look good, it looks fast....and very buy-able :D as long as all my fave characters are there - Mystic Gohan ^^
