PS3 voted most wanted Blu-ray player

Even though polling is still going on, the PS3 is the clear winner at 56.6% of the total votes. The next closest Blu-ray player is the Panasonic DMP-BD50 at 8.3%; we suspect it's not likely that the DMP-BD50 will catch up to the PS3's massive 48% lead. What does this mean for the PS3? It means that sales can only go up from here.

It's not exactly a scientific poll, and you know it.
But it's not exactly surprising, either.
PS3 has the most bang for the buck.

Up to 57% now. thats 4811. I talk to my mates who know nothing about HD or Blu Ray. 90% of the people I know have no idea what they are, all they know is DVD.
I wish sony would put out some form of advert to make people aware of the origins, the hd's demise and how ps3 is a blu ray player etc...

I love my PS3, though I have some issue's, BUT I'd like to piont out this is only good news for the PS3 if the consumers also buy games. If they're just buying it for movies, and the game to system ratio isn't high, designers will just see it as another Wii.

Who cares! I'm just staring at my PS3 waiting for some decent games to come out. Format is not quality it's just a device to play a game on but we need the games.

bought my PS3 about two weeks ago assuming HD DVD was going to die. I have to say the PS3 is quite the sexy device. A little light on games but the Blu Ray player is superb. I also prefer the XMB to the 360's dash. Its just more elegant. The content for the store will pick up in time and the future functionality is going to be oustanding.

The PS3 was the champion for Blu-Ray winning the format war. Now lets have Blu-Ray return the favor for the console war! And people criticized Sony for useing "unproven" technology.... psh...
