sweet! cannont wait for this game. Wipeout was the first game I bought for my PSP and I still play it, can't wait to race around those crazy tracks in HD goodness.
playcrackthesky @ Feb 20th 2008 8:03PM
I sent it in too, guess I got beaten =P
Custom soundtracks anyone?
eugene @ Feb 20th 2008 8:12PM
only 8 tracks though.. that's kinda boo. but I guess there'll be plenty of DLC for it.

What makes wipeout soo great? All I hear is praise. By judging from the trailer it doesn't look great. What am I missing?

If you like driving games, the physics, track layout and soundtrack to this game create a totally involving, super intense gaming experience.
If you don't like driving games, you probably won't like it.
For us anti-grav, combative, techno music loving, futuristic driving fans this looks like a dream come true.
Of course, before drawing any conclusions we'll have to test out the control, if that works then all is good.

If you'll please excuse me. It appears I just creamed my jeans.

Yeah, 8 is a bit of a let down....but still!
Looks like someone figured out how to lure some of the true
power out of the cell.
Set the bar high, make these developers meet our higher expectations.
Fiddlesworth @ Feb 20th 2008 8:37PM
It's a downloadable game, 8 tracks sounds spot-on for an initial investment like Warhawk's.
eugene @ Feb 20th 2008 9:18PM
yeahh... I guess I'm not too woried about it. 5 gameplay modes and however many speed settings, there should be enough play there to last me until the map packs start coming down the pipe.
I wonder if they'll still be free or if they'll go the way of Lumines live and nickle and dime us for every little thing.
Dreadhead541 @ Feb 20th 2008 9:22PM
looks amazing for a psn game
wauktownzown @ Feb 21st 2008 2:13AM
yes!..now who wouldnt mind kinetica in hd?..i need more racing games!
Darkdrium777 @ Feb 21st 2008 7:49PM
Kinetica is good, but the controls failed a little IMO. It just felt too easy to control the guys, and the tracks were not that challenging. However the universe was cool, the graphics were OK, but the Stunt System really was awesome. If they can work on the bad sides of the game, and make the stunts use the SIXAXIS in a clever way (No wrist breaking obviously) that would be awesome. Kinetica was the first game I got on PS2, and I liked it a lot for the time I played it.
WipEout HD however has me sold. That trailer is just so awesome I just can't wait. I feel a little bit let down by PulsE. The game plays great, the graphics are as incredible, the soundtrack, while a little bit bland and diluted, is at least consistently better than PurE's. Still, I miss CoLD SToRAGE. :/ And I will not get any DLC for PulsE, it's just too expensive really, I hope they readjust the price... Hopefully this game will improve on the flaws of PulsE. But the graphics are awesome, and the racing looks very cool. :)
