Rut roh. Don't look now, but today's update is really rather
bad. It's been a while since we've come out and said that a PSN update has been dire, because the quality has improved drastically over the last six months. Still, unless you're a fan of developer diaries, or demos that have been on the US Store for two weeks, then there's not a lot here for you. Here's the full release list:
It seems that SCEE have put
Snakeball back on the front page, even though it came out in December. Our guess is it's their attempt to pad out today's update, but it hasn't really worked. Oh well, the long wait until next Thursday starts now.

These updates are meant to be getting better but they are getting worse! Where are all the games that were released months ago on the US store?? This is ridiculous. Sony really need to get their act together.

I used to look forward to these updates for ps3 and the pc playstation store.the pc playstation store only gets wall papers and expansion packs for wipeout pulse for £3.49 each if you live in the uk.The us get a few ps1 games and alot of demos, the japanese store gets demos ps1 games and loads of expansions.Same with the ps3 store.

"Oh well, the long wait until next Thursday starts now."
please elaborate!
are you inferring that something special may or may not be happening next Thursday, or you just think the update is that dire, anything would be better?

He's just suggesting our hopes of getting something worthwhile today have been shot down, so lets all start working on getting our hopes up for next thursday.... where they'll probably be shot down yet again.
Doubt anything more than that is implied, if there were rumours they'd have been posted.

Did anyone else get this email subject from Sony two days ago?
"Enjoy up to 40% discount on some great content for a limited time only at PLAYSTATION Store (PS3)"
The email went on to promote current games but no mention of price cuts. Can anyone clarify this?

Diaries of abysmally bad games. Lost Planet online demo, that you can maybe play if you actually manage to connect to a server. And then some junk to clutter your desktop.
yay :P.. Come on where is Wipeout HD? and why not release the rest of the wipeout games as PS1 downloadables.
parkd @ Feb 21st 2008 8:34PM
Actually, if you host your own server, Lost Planet works fine.
seansloan @ Feb 21st 2008 12:40PM

Some weeks are great others are weak. There rally is no pattern and you'll always have to depend on what is available. Maybe Sony should step away from the once a week updates and just update when they get something. Less whining by 12 year olds how they didn't get what they wanted this week.
