The
WipEout series has always had excellent soundtracks and
WipEout HD promises to be no exception. Sony has today revealed the full music list for the game, along with a plethora of
other details, most of which we've seen before. The full soundtrack for the game is as follows:
- MoveYa! & Steve Lavers: Chemical
- Stanton Warriors: Tokyo
- DJ Fresh: X-Project (100% Pure mix)
- Ed Rush, Optical & Matrix: Frontline
- Noisia: Seven Stitches
- MIST: Smart Systems
- Mason: Exceeder - Special mix
- Booka Shade: Steady Rush
- Kraftwerk: Aero Dynamik
Nothing on that list take your fancy? That's okay,
WipEout HD will feature full custom soundtrack support, just like its PSP cousin,
Wipeout Pulse. That means you can speed along at 600kph whilst listening to something wholly inappropriate, if you so wish.

I hope they support playlist building instead of what Stardust HD does, which amounts to 'point me at a folder and I play everything'. Maybe I need to spend 5 minutes learning more...dunno.

If you create a playlist using the XMB, can’t you select that from within Super Stardust?

Probably, but to be honest I haven't created any music playlists in the XMB yet. Maybe when this game comes out I will. Right now I just play SSHD to some Beastie Boys albums.

Good thing... the only one I recognize is Kraftwerk. This entire soundtrack will probably all be techno crap that makes my ears bleed.

I never knew you could use your own music within Stardust HD? Do you just go into sound options and select from there?

Please just tell me it has 4 player split screen. That would just be totally killer.... Mario Kart what? :) Hell, each person's quarter of the screen would be higher resolution than the entire Wii screen. :D
