You might have seen the
awesome screenshots for
Resistance 2, but you might not have seen the
concept art and character renders that went into making such eye-popping visuals. While new and gorgeous, much of the artwork reveals little beyond what we already know. The American flags in some of the paintings point to the already revealed USA setting, and we've seen those grotesque Chimera enemies before. However, some concept artworks do raise questions -- like that tentacle creature in the picture above. What is that, a new boss perhaps?
In any case, it's nice of Insomniac to drop us little nuggets here and there. They're doing a good job in keeping us interested in this game. They've certainly got us thinking about this one, as it looks to be a step above the first
Resistance in every respect.

cant wait to continue my killing spree in this game online. I hope you can carry over your stats from resistance 1. And i hope capture the flag somerset map (1 hit kills, carb & snipe ) can be played on resistance 2!!!

wow amazing now who says resistance has no way of competing with gears i mean like resistance2 will be one of the best fps come on look at that photo and haze will be out in april and killzone2 in 2008 man the ps3 is the best the ps brand allways own don't u agree?

R2 is only on the PS3 and Gears of War 2 only on the xbox 360. They are not competing with eachother.

If they can realize that, I'm dedicating a 103" plasma, a PS3 and a copy of Resistance 2 as a poster on the wall.
It won't even come close to 'nothing short of epic'. lol.
Unfortunately, this is concept art =/ I have zero doubt that the game will be jaw-ripping insane, but you won't see this artistic style come in =(.

It'd be incredible to unlock a rendering filter that'd make the game look like that. Blurring around characters, film grain, etc.

I wasn't really all that impressed with the first Resistance. It was fun, I just don't think it deserved all the praise it got. I hope the sequel turns out to be something really special.

If you're looking at all the development troubles going on for ... well... every game, what Resistance was able to pull off (with mainly proprietary technologies, and first builds of their own engines) ON/near launch of the PS3, it's frickin' awesome in comparison.
Plus coop campaign was way too fun =). Beat every other launch game by insane margins.

I agree, obviously the graphics were very careful, but the game was flawless and smooth, great story, great online, and Insomniac proved with R&C Tools that they improved everything, in a very small amount of time (read their blogs-- this company is amazing, the way they analyze how to do things better).

i hope they have veichels in mutiplayer cause that was a drag, plus i hope that can make a forge mode for resistance 2 that would be awsome. it possible, i cant see what people are not using this idea, plus gow3 might be on ps3 "might"
