Rumor: Eight Days resurfacing in March with new title?

As far as rumors go, we generally don't trust them any further than we can throw them. Since throwing something that is intangible is an impossible feat, you can see our conundrum when presented with one gigantic bombshell. Some dude on MySpace (GamesBlow, which we assume is a pseudonym of some sort for an anonymous dev for the game) spoke up about Eight Days, a game we've not seen for nearly two years, and how it is going to reappear next month with a new name.

The game is supposedly ready for an October release and takes place in eight cities over eight days. You can play as one of two characters, each with different story lines and abilities and whatnot. Google maps has been incorporated into the game, so the cities are to scale and accurate. Like Animal Crossing, when you play the game dictates when the game is taking place. Play at night, the game's set at night. There's more, but we have to change our pants. It sounds really cool. Too cool. We'll see what happens.

Uh, all his comments on the PlayStation.Blog were AGAINST PlayStation in every way. He was going on and on about how Uncharted had bad graphics.

Actually, he made rude comments on all the consoles...

Sorry for the double post...

He's been harsh on the PS3, but he's a fan of it. As much bashing as he's done, I've seen him give it to 360 even more.

On gameFAQs he always just acted over the top dumb and then said he was giving up on the PS3 and moving to liking the Wii. I think he just does stuff to piss people off. I hesitate to believe anyones personal blog when they talk about stuff like this.

as long as changes are for the better, i dont mind. when i first saw the trailer for this game it blew me away and made me say 'damn i want a ps3'. lets hope it lives up to that.

He lists his occupation as a "Professional Troll" and claims to be IP banned from nearly every forum/site except n4g. This doesn't sound suspicious at all.

same here, but I have been salivating over this game since the first trailer was shown. Its one of the first truly full looking worlds in a game where every building has an interior that can be explored or exploited.

I bet this would be an awesome movie. They could do it like a buddy comedy with Ving Rhames and....um....er......Jimmy Fallon as the other guy and cast Meg Ryan (is she still alive?) as a common love interest. Then maybe they could do some weird twist where Jimmy Fallon bumps his head while shaving his legs and discovers that he can hear what women are thinking. But here's the twist: he can only hear fat and ugly women. Wait a second....that doesn't sound like an awesome movie at all. Shame on me.

the game sounds very promising and very next gen. however this guy has such a bad rep that i dont believe just about 100% of what he said, so i wouldnt get my hopes up, at least not without some other more reliable rumor or confirmation!

no, all this info other than the ps3 informer site comes from gamesblow. ask gamesblow for any info. why dont you ask him on his myspace page, he'll probably give you the 411 on it, in fact he stated something about that game on his blog about 2 weeks ago. go to his site.

I think Gamesblow is a head person for Gamespot at least He has said so in the past and that is wht He has info on this game and Tears of Blood.

This game could be a PS3 version of Gears of War
I mean they could never pull off Resistance:FoM 2
but GoW was a good game for the 360,
and if they just do a polish up on the graphics, and tweak the aiming system, it could destroy GoW.

I don't know about these rumors... It all sounds like alot of BS to me - even though I loved that 2006 vid for 8 days - I'm just not going to get all excited about factless rumors and then be disappointed when I find out it's just another game!

I liked this because the graphics look really good, good anti-aliasing. But the writer is a joke. There were more CGI scenes than he stated (granted the game looked the same quality), and I don't trust any "writer" who can't even use an apostrophe correctly. How do I find this guy on myspace? Can't wait for a mano-a-mano dialogue (I think...)
