PS3 Poll Police: Name your most anticipated release!

Welcome to another edition of the Poll Police, where we interrogate you mercilessly to discover what you want, what you think, and how you think it -- so long as your answer is something we came up with. Unfair? Probably. Silly? Probossibly. This last week, we got wind of so many games getting release dates our heads are spinning. We've lined 'em up below and it's your job to tell us what you're most anticipating.

Which game's impending release titillates you most?

	Metal Gear Solid 4 (June 12th)
	Haze (May '08)
	Dead Space (October '08)

The clear winner to many of you may already be decided -- slapping Metal Gear Solid 4 in any poll sort of lays a heavy bias on the results. Or does it? We think the results might not be exactly what you expect. If you want to check out last week's poll results, feel free.

We could argue semantics all day whether or not a developer's conference is a gaming event (developers for the video game industry -- the game industry -- ergo gaming event, et cetera), but the fact of the matter is aside from a few announcements regarding dev tools for the PS3, like the PhyreEngine, there wasn't that much on the Sony side. At least, this is what we see reading your responses. Most of us at PS3Fanboy weren't there. We had, like, hair appointments or something. So we can't say if there was much else. It was, indeed, a conference for developer's tools and as such, less interesting to most gamers. Thanks for voting!

I think I am guilty of this too (and was one who clicked to vote MGS4 without really reading the question), but nonetheless:

This poll was for release dates that was just posted THIS WEEK! He's emphasizing that there's a whole bunch that was JUST announced! KZ2, GT5, LBP, R2, FFXIII have no solid and official release dates.

Maybe LBP comes the closest with a "September", but it hasn't really been officially stamped. Then again, really that's closer than Motorstorm 2's release date =P. But still it was announced this week haha.

Thank you Dahk, for actually reading the post instead of glazing over and going straight to the poll. =D

The whole point was to cover the release dates we heard about this past week. If you look back over the posts for this past week, we had like... a confirmed (vague or otherwise) release date every single day for a game that, whether you heard of it or not, are pretty darn good looking.

It was an impressive week for release date news.

I cant wait for MGS4! MGS4 is the most anticipated title of the year. This will challenge Gears of War 2 & GTA IV for GOTY. If this title come closes to its hype then it will be a huge success for Sony and PS3 owners. The PS3 has the best line-up this year and hopefully 1 of their exclusives will become THE best game of the year!

I agree that this list is missing some games. Out of about 12 games I want this year, at least 8 are missing. However I should note that I voted for Haze. Why? Because I know MGS4 will be awesome, but Haze is a new game with lots of suspense surrounding it after all these delays so I'm very excited to see what we'll get our hands on in May.

OK, so a lot of games are missing. So that means they're asking what you're anticipating the most out of the games that ARE there. So for me, MGS4 rules out of that list. But overall, FFXIII & GTA4 baby!!!!

Then, as others said, why leave out so many games? LBP and Killzone need to be on there, as well as multiplat games too like Borderlands and Fallout 3.

- Crysis PS3
- LA Noire
- The Getaway
- Heavy Rain - The actual game

Come on people, I don't understand why GTA4 isn't on there, but cut Nick a bit of slack, its announced games, heck, we don't even know if we'll get GT5 next year let alone this year, they might suffer the delay fate. FF13, Killzone 2 and Afrika far less. People are just being silly now ¬_¬
