Instead of making some sort of accomplishment system that can later be integrated into
Home, Digital Extremes
created a system of "entitlements" for the PS3 version of
Dark Sector that amount to nothing more than in-game pats on the back. More or less what we have in
Uncharted and
Devil May Cry 4, really, except with no plans to bring them forward into
Home. Still, if you can pull off the whole list of things to accomplish, it's something to be proud of. If you want to figure the entitlements out on your own, we've tucked the list away after the jump so as to not spoil it for you. Everyone else, enjoy the list after the jump.

Lame. I guess we'll have to continue relying on first party games to make these accomplishments worthwhile (unlockable content)
TinyTim121 @ Mar 6th 2008 1:56PM
Oh for crying out loud
Accomplishments, Achievements, Entitlements, how many names must games developers name the same damn thing?
I think they're a great idea Accomplishments, but can't we just stick to one name?
I personally like accomplishments...seperates it from 360 a bit.

"I personally like accomplishments...seperates it from 360 a bit."
How?? Its the EXACT SAME THING!!!! LMAO!!! Which isn't a bad thing. Accomplishments sounds better to me too. Just fix the way they pop-up. Sony has a good opportunity here. I love when I unlock an achievement on 360 and that little "bleep" bubble pops up =P Sony can come up with something a little cooler IMO.

I meant the name of it. 360 has Acchievements, PS3 has Accomplisments. Same thing, different name. Different name seperates the consoles a little bit.
I agree sony has a great opportunity here, i hope they do make the best of home *Crosses fingers*

I thought that was sarcasm, but I guess not.
Personally, achievements sound better, perhaps because it's a shorter word, or maybe because we're all so used to it by now.
Accomplishments do sound a hell of a lot better than entitlements though.
Organic_Shadow @ Mar 6th 2008 3:18PM
IGN is still calling them entitlements, even though I think we all know that Accomplishments will be the final term.
JayD-1K @ Mar 6th 2008 3:38PM
i agree.
TinyTim121 @ Mar 6th 2008 5:33PM
Ah thats good to hear
Accomplishments kinda sounds like an award as well
Achievement sounds like you've reached a milestone
Hmmm...
bah, whatever, i just want accomplishments in PS3 like achievements in 360 :)
xFenixKnightx @ Mar 6th 2008 1:57PM
Lame and pointless indeed. Atleast intergrate them with the new Home update.
Darkdrium777 @ Mar 6th 2008 2:03PM
Wohoo. More reasons not to play the game. I can only hope for Digital Extremes that the story will be good, because there's not much except the graphics that can help this game right now. :/
Phoenix8387 @ Mar 6th 2008 2:19PM
Have they specifically said they wouldn't integrate into Home? Nowhere else have I read that they stated they would not integrate. Just because it does not support it now doesn't mean it can't be patched.
CL34N3R @ Mar 6th 2008 2:41PM
The funny thing is that the list of "entitlements" is exactly the same as the 360 achievement list.
Phoenix8387 @ Mar 6th 2008 2:44PM
All games that have done entitlements/accomplishments that are multi-platform have used very similar lists if not the same lists. It takes the least effort to make one list and use it for both.
finelicker @ Mar 6th 2008 2:55PM
Entitlements? WTF!!!!
What exactly does it entitle to me then? totally wrong word.
Idiots.
TinyTim121 @ Mar 6th 2008 3:07PM
LMAO!!! Well said!
ryan @ Mar 7th 2008 1:53PM
i agree, really stupid wording.
russell @ Mar 6th 2008 2:58PM
wow, it's not even real life, it's a game and they can't make these accomplishments even a tad bit less transient?
another failure of a game.
AceGamer @ Mar 6th 2008 4:26PM
Instead, how 'bout Insomniac gives everyone permision to use the term 'Skill Points'.
It sounds way better than Achievements, Accomplishments & Medals. And forget about Entitlements.
