Clannad lovingly accepts two UMDs for its PSP port

Yep, it's another one of them fancy love adventure titles. Luckily, as far as those types of games go, Clannad shouldn't be bad at all -- these are the same people who crafted the Air title and anime, after all. Oh, Kanon too. Anyway, this port of the PC version has so much content packed into it, including full voice and new CG's, you need two UMDs to play the whole thing. So, if these types of games tickle your fancy, this one will have a lot to offer. It'll be ready to import ... when they issue a release date.

I've never played a love adventure game... tell me Nick what are they like? :P and are they worth trying out?

Haha, actually, I haven't played one either. I have seen the anime the games are based off, though, and they were rather good.

If I can put on my imagination hat, I'd assume these games are similar to games like Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney games. Except instead of defending clients, you take girls on dates. They're probably fun, so long as you never get caught playing them.

Oh, I see. I thought this had something to do with the Irish new-age band. You know Enya? She was in Clannad. Whew. I don't think I'd want to play a game featuring Enya.

If I could speak the language of runes, I'd consider getting this as I've been enjoying the anime. But alas, I cannot read moonrunes, so I will have to miss out on this one.

lol ... cool , but it was allready made in Dragoneers Aria , If Im not wrong ( could have been other RPG , or maybe only Japanese version :? ) .

lol I really don't want to be caught dead playing one of these ... unless it's like the mini dating type sim in Persona 3! now that game was fun! oh yeah and did I mention Persona 3 :fes is coming to the U.S. April 22nd! with the full game not just as an expansion! :)

Oh dear... It's not a dating sim, you silly people, it's a Visual Novel. 'Japanese PC game' shouldn't automatically return 'INTERCOURSE!' You basically just go through dialogue and storyline stuff and make decisions at key points. I don't see it appealing to the general userbase of this site. For anyone interested in Visual Novels, though, I'd recommend it.

You're 100% right. A lot of people probably don't realize it, but a little franchise called Ace Attorney (whether it be Phoenix Wright or Apollo Justice) are, in fact, Visual Novels.

It's proof there really IS a market for those games in the US. In my opinion.
