Motorstorm 2 gets monster trucks, lots of water

It seems information regarding Evolution Studios' sequel to last year's hit Motorstorm is finally surfacing. Some scans from the latest issue of OPM reveal not only the new locales featuring water, water everywhere, but monster trucks as drivable options. There's more info in the scans uploaded by C.Birch on the PS3 Forums, waiting for you to read them. But the main points are thus: Water. Monster trucks. Driving. Apparently, dodging vehicles once you're ousted from your own plays some kind of part, but we won't know until we see more.

Sweet, sounds awesome so far. Local multiplayer will sell this for me. I bought Motorstorm when it first came out (first game I bought, it was one of the reasons I got a PS3 after playing the demo at Target) and have enjoyed it but lack of multiplayer local bites. Hopefully MS 2 will have local multiplayer. 4 player would be AWESOME but 2 player is fine.

Changing the locations like that will make a whole lot of difference... I might actually buy this one. Got the last one in a bundle, no wonder it was a hit!

there are girls in motorstorm 1, you just need to change the color of your car and some of them will be girl drivers instead of guys.

"nor any drop to drink." Can't wait to see the new locales, wonder if it'll be like the current Motorstorm-- one theme (this time water)... hmm, will Motorstorm3 be all snow? And 4 could be forest (some great Star Wars references would be fun) so that having all 4 will net you tons of races per theme... then they could release the Max Pack by 2012 with all 4, plus Mars, the Moon, Jupiter, futuristic cities, etc (now differing gravity would alter the physics in a totally new way).

I jest not. Excite Truck is a fantasticly fun game mate! Granted the graphics are no where as good as MotorStorm (Wii vs PS3 = unfair fight lol) but the game play, controls and enjoyment factor was much higher with Excite Truck as apposed to when I play Motorstorm.

Plus Excite Truck motion controls piss all over Motorstorm's.
