Rumor: SOCOM Confrontation bundle includes new Bluetooth headset

A supposedly leaked PowerPoint presentation revealed a new official Bluetooth headset for PS3. Set to launch in July/August, the headset would retail for $50 individually. More exciting, however, is SOCOM Confrontation bundle that's mentioned: both the game and headset would hit retail for $60.

The design of this rumored headset is an improvement over the one offered with Warhawk. However, don't get your hopes up quite yet. When asked for comment, a SCEA representative told us that "we have currently made no announcements for a new PS3 headset so any information is speculation and rumor."

they need to make an official PS3 headset.if they did that i think alot more people would buy them because they know for 100% that they will work with the PS3 unlike some bluetooth headsets. i might pick up this bundle if its true though

Me also! My jabra that came with warhawk disappeared, and the Plantronics I just got a few weeks ago is okay, but I would gladly buy retail SOCOM for this headset. But at the same time, I kinda want the game to be on my hard drive instead of having to swap out discs.

Can't be joggin', flippin' discs, and drinkin' mah sip!

Id much rather a Jawbone, but its still too expensive. This seems like a great deal. Ill be picking it up for sure now, just wish I could load it on the HDD, disk swapping is lame.

I've got a nice working Plantronics Explorer 330 for my PS3, but this one is reeeally sexy. *DROOLING ALL OVER THE PLACE*
I will for sure buy this BT-headset if it turns out to be true. I like Sony's design; of both the PS3 itself, and the BT-headset ;)

Seth Luisi has always said they planned to do a headset bundle when confrontation comes out so i'm positive this rumor will hold true. I'm so stoked over the July/August release date!!!!!

I think a lot of people will buy this even if they have a headset already. This headset should have been around when the PS3 launched, and included with Warhawk.

The reason this one looks awesome is cause it looks like it has a recharge stand. Thats one thing I hate about my Motorola its never charged up to play. If it came with a USB charge it would be perfect.

I was on the fence about getting SOCOM, but if it comes with a headset, I will probably get one. My current headset stinks, the mic picks up every little noise, and voices sound garbled. One of the few good things I have to say about my 360 is that even the mic it comes with is decent.
