Video: Adding yen to a Japanese PSN account
Epileptic Gaming goes through the process of adding yen to a Japanese PSN account. It's not a task that most will want to endure through, but for importers that love getting their hands on early Japanese PSN releases will be sure to enjoy this information. Downloadable games work on any PS3 from any region, so this might be fun for those that aren't afraid of a little language barrier.

aahatimy @ Mar 14th 2008 10:17AM
You show me how to put dollars on a US account from the UK then you will make me impressed.

check this out: http://www.entropay.com/
its a virtual prepaid visa card with wich you can do that.
Sam Barriscale @ Mar 14th 2008 10:57AM
Just did the entropay thing......it works like a dream!
Put $20 dollars on the virtual card, they charge you an extra .99c for loading it up and for some reason hold back $1 whilst the transactions going thru. But hell, I'm downloading "Pain" as we speak. And a lot of the games are cheaper when you convert it into pounds even when you add the charges!
One thing I did wrong was put my address as a state that charges tax, so I had to pay .84c on PAIN, apparently Nevada has no tax, so I'm going to change that next time.

so when you signup you select the currency as US dollars and load the amount in pounds? I have a pre-paid master card, they do not work on the US psn store.
Sam Barriscale @ Mar 14th 2008 1:13PM
Just loaded it up with dollars from my uk credit card! Trust me " Pain" is really good fun, and not bad for £5 too!

how do think i got all the rock band DLC and live in the UK at the same time?! you can also attach a pre-pay card such as IDT prime, to the address you've registered when setting up your US account..

Kxpuc @ Mar 14th 2008 3:08PM
sure...i guess it's just odd that i have the full GT5 Prologue game out of sheer non-existance or various other stuff
Mike Jenkins @ Mar 14th 2008 10:20PM
Just because you have ONE game doesn't mean that EVERYTHING is the same.
Nate @ Mar 14th 2008 11:34AM
BTW, for those from abroad, New Hampshire also has no sales tax.
Phizzy @ Mar 14th 2008 12:26PM
Ah, I did some research on this when UmJammer Lammy was put on the Japanese store but couldn't find any who didn't want to charge me $30 postage, I'll have a look for the ones he said send the code. Yay!

Is there a way to buy stuff from UK if I live in the US? Any help would be appreciated.
Mike Jenkins @ Mar 14th 2008 10:22PM
There's gotta be a way to add money to the JPN account with a US credit card, right?
