Make your PSP waterproof with Aquatalk
While Aquatalk looks like a slightly upgraded ziplock baggy, it's supposed to keep your PSP waterproof. It should do so because it's covered in four layers of protective coating and has a secure anti-leak zipper seal. At 740 yen a bag (roughly seven dollars and a chunk of change), it better deliver. The bag is good for both fat and slim PSPs.
It's a pretty cool concept being able to get some gaming done while making one's self clean in the bath. We might actually give this one a try ... well, only if someone wants to lend us their PSP for an experiment. One warning though, we probably wouldn't recommend this for scuba diving; you wouldn't want to get distracted playing Loco Roco when a shark comes to bite your head off.

Interested if the GPS attachment also fits in the bag, as then I can use the PSP in a bag on my Motorbike..

look at the Japanese writing on the box of the thing.. I've had allsorts of 'screen protectors' and they come in the same packaging. They look DIRT cheap and usually aren't fit for their purpose. They're probably worth 1p each. avoid like the plague.

I'm pretty sure like 7 regular zip locks would do the same thing.
Or for the more adventurous you could melt the plastic to make a serious water proof case.

I work w/ acid, and the chemicals in the air tear up any electronics, so it might be nice to use that so I could take my psp to work....

If the chemicals you work with destroy electronics, then I doubt a plastic bag is going to be of much help.

I can t hink of one very good use for this. Playing PSP while waiting at a rainy bus stop, or for a ride. :)
Other than that, zip lock will do it.

I'd say it's for watching movies, but then you'd have no sound. I'd say it's for gaming, but trying to use the analog through a PET-PET-LDPE sandwich plastic would be nearly impossible. I guess if you want to take your psp with you white water rafting to play wherever you set up camp for the night? Fair enough.

it disables all the features of the psp.
it's definatly more for storing in wet areas, not playing with in wet areas.

I think its the action buttons (X, O, /\, [_]), but i may be wrong. the shape of the buttons do seem like the d-pad's, but thats from an akward position

Check out the website guys. Those are the symbol buttons, this cover is designed with molded button shaped place for the buttons to sit inside the pouch. ^^

no look at the pic. the circle around the button goes along the outer edge of the buttons. it only does that on the d pad
for ^ x o [] the line is like in the middle of the buttons

I actually got the bag a few weeks back, but haven't really run any real tests on it yet. The bag is shaped like the PSP and it's more tight-fitting than you might think.
Also the buttons and d-pad are written as a inprint on the bag so it's supposed to fit over the real buttons - which it hardly does. That's what ur seeing in the picture, not the real PSP buttons.

I accidently dropped my psp while taking a hot bath in a bath tub. in a split second, I picked it up and try to dry it using hair dryer. After 20 minutes of trying to dry my psp, I finally turned it on and it worked. However, the psp screen/lcd is blurry and had watermark in it... it's like the opening screen of the movie matrix where the characters dropping off the screen... :-(
The next day, I opened up my psp casing and stripped all of the components piece by piece. The lcd screen is poorly constructed. It does not have a good sealant around the edges. That's why water can gets in easily. It has some sort of foam around it, but it is not for water protection. I dried every single components that I stripped down but I did not attempt to open up the lcd screen. I dried the lcd using hair dryer but it did not seem to work. I put back all the components again and turned it on. It seems like everything works , but not the lcd cause it still has the watermark in it. I can play most of the games I have but the screen is kind of hard to see with the watermark.
I decided to get a new psp, yeah... my friend said I should have gotten a PS3 at the beginning because it wouldn't be dropped into a bath tub...LOL.... (I struggled at the beginning whether to get a PS3 or PSP)
I thought I want to share it with all of you after reading the article above... My advise, take a quick shower and come back and play your psp..It's not worth it to spend money buying this ziploc bag and definetely it is not fun when you play while trying to wipe the water off the screen.
