Grand Theft Auto IV first 'leaked' multiplayer screenshots

Dutch site Xboxworld.nl accidentally leaked the first images of the upcoming multiplayer portion of GTA IV. Although the site pulled the images, the internet has an incredibly good memory. The folks at GTAForums promptly grabbed, and re-uploaded these lucrative images. The rumored list of online features reads like a wishlist: 16 players, 15 modes. With its release only a few weeks away, it won't be long before the world truly understands how ambitious Rockstar's online offerings will be.

I agree but screenshots can look worse than the real thing. Anyway GTA has always been about gameplay, not graphics.

I know but the change from SP to MP is a bit shocking to be honest. SP looks perfectly fine for a game with the scope of GTA.

All the screen shots up to now have been all single player. Now why do the multi player screen shots don't' look as good as the single player shots ? Easy , because it is unrealistic to think that the graphics would be that good and 16 players running around with rocket launchers blowing up cars at the same time, as a developer i new this was going to happen with this game, so there will be a notice when the loading screen comes out as you wait to get into the multi player section of the game and what does that notice say "i rather not say" but basically the graphics are going to be decreased in order to bring those frame rates to a stable level (online only). First site , to know

call of duty 4 looks just as good in multiplayer as it does in single player. i dont think framerate is the issue here.

i think the issue is that until now we haven't seen many in-game screenshots. most of the screenshots we have seen of the single player mode have been cutscenes or cinematics. these may be some of the first actual gameplay shots we have seen.

Wrong! sir , Compare map size to cod4 and gta4 ,ok now compare the amount of (easy words, so it is understandable) stuff that is running at the same time as cod4, picture 16 helicopters in cod4 exploding at the same time , i'am 95% that the frame rate will drop to a unplayable level in cod4.

To compare the sort of option gta4 will have is saints row, go to the video options (i think) and there will be a option to change vertical sync to on/off, therefore changing frame rates , that is what gta4 is going to have , but it "will" not be a option at all. that is two things gta have stolen from saints row :P that and the navigation in the game(mini map etc) haha :P
