People receive MGS4 pre-order bonus early, MGO beta info revealed

Over on the IGN boards, a forum poster uploaded pictures of the Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2 DVD and stated that these pre-order bonus discs were ready for pick up. However, we gave several local Gamestops a call yet none of them have the discs up for grabs. Chances are your local Gamestop wouldn't have them either, so don't bother calling. For those who don't know what this DVD is, it's a documentary highlighting a part of Metal Gear Solid's history; it is only available to those who have pre-ordered Metal Gear Solid 4 from US retailer Gamestop.

The poster also revealed some information on the upcoming beta test for Metal Gear Online. According to a slip within the DVD case, the beta will be available for download on April 17 and will run from April 21 through May 5.

On a related note, teetering fans anxious to get their hands on the bonus DVD might want to double check Gamestop's website. They've been listing a scrumptious limited edition version of MGS4 for quite some time now. Better check that one out if you're a real hunter of all things collectible.

That doesnt mean it does.... When i called my gamestop they didnt even know what this was about, The guy i talked to ended up asking me questions about it....

It does when you phone the higher ups, which I did. Saga vol. 2 is expected to be good with any pre-order. There's no reason not to, it's a separately packaged disc!

If you're having trouble with store clerks, just be nice and butter them up. If you're a regular, they should recognize you (if not, let them know!). I always get stuff because I'm nice. You will to if you can harness the power of positive thinking! Buy my book ... er scratch that last part. ;)

I guess they will have it just because it has French language on it. I don't think they would have taken the time to do that for the US only.

The SAGA 2.0 is supposed to be a Gamestop exclusive...only problem with this is that the Gamestop/EB employees tend to screw things like this up when they are uninformed (which 1/2 the time, they are). So be careful about gently reminding them to give this to you and stay on top of it.

first the dvd is not only for the limited edtion its for both.Second u can buy the mgs colltion for 30 dollars. mgs1,2 and 3

Do what I did and shell out $30 for the Metal Gear Collection. It is so worth it. SO SO SO worth it.

Seriously. Do it. If you havent played MGS buy the collection. It will make you a better person.

Hell (is hell a curse on here), buy MGE if you HAVE played all three. I used google checkout, so i got all three games for $20. Maybe i'll save them and sell them for $100 100 years from now. :)

You people need to be careful as to how this is worded. I am quite sure that this pre-order bonus is not limited to JUST GameStop, as other people have confirmed that the clerks at an EB Games told them that they will be receiving the bonus DVD when they get them. Keyword there, "EB GAMES". Also, there is absolutely NOTHING that states, in COLD HARD STONE, that the Metal Gear Online BETA will only be limited to JUST the United States of America. That wouldn't be fair to us Canadian gamers, now would it? Especially since it has been worded as being a "NORTH AMERICA RELEASE". Also, I have gained confirmation from both SONY -and- Konami Digital Entertainment that Canadian gamers will be getting a taste of the BETA.
