Please, don't buy this Wal-Mart GOW PSP

No Wal-Mart! Perhaps trying to capitalize on the recent announcement of Sony's real PSP God of War bundle, Wal-Mart has created its own "exclusive" bundle for those interested in picking one up.

Not only is it hideous, but it actually costs more than Sony's upcoming official bundle, doesn't include any extras (such as UMD movie, downloadable game). But, unlike the official bundle, this is available now.

And what is with the PSP model number? PSP-2001?

I just bought a PSP slim (Daxter bundle) a few days ago and next to the serial number it says PSP-2001. Probably just a minor hardware change/improvement over the PSP-2000 released a few months ago.

Wow, you can't honestly be serious, can you? PSP-2000 is Japan-only. In America, it's the PSP-2001. The last couple numbers refer to the region.

Look on the bottom of your PSP at the end of the serial number. If you bought yours in America, it will say PSP1001 or PSP2001. If you bought yours in Japan, it will say PSP1000 or PSP2000. If you didn't buy yours in America or Japan, it will say PSP10xx or PSP20xx, xx being a two-digit number that isn't 00 or 01.

A couple bucks less than buying a standalone black PSP and GoW. Decent for those who find the red psp not to their liking. Does anyone really use skins? Bleh.

this is what happens when you force U.S. manufacturers to set up shop in china, and put out U.S. workers in the name of low prices... You sell more because it's cheap, but all you've sold is trash....

The skin is a little odd, but the difference is you can take the skin off. That red is forever!

*sigh* If only it were bundled with a -- ANY --memory stick, then I might go with it. That $190 PSP/Game/Movie thing seems kinda alright, if I'd be going for a black one anyway.

Wait, this bundle idea is great, the theft of PSP has been on the rise, this might be the best way to dent it. Make it look so ugly no one will steal it!
