So, by now you should all be familiar with Jonathan Coulton's "Still Alive" aka "The Portal Song." In case you don't recognize the name, perhaps listening to the dude sing it himself would make you remember. If not, then you probably didn't play Portal and therefore the song becomes a lie. Anyway, the popular song will be available for free on Rock Band this coming April 17.
Why so late as compared to the Xbox 360 gamers who are getting it tomorrow? Did you already forget that the PSN is undergoing a redesign? Seriously guys, we might have to check you into the doctor for all that sudden memory loss.
I wish portal from Steam wasn't so expensive. I'm not paying $20 for a minigame, and I'm certainly not paying 60 just so I can play Portal on the PS3. Which of course means all these damn portal in-jokes have just been aggravating for the past 5-ish months.
Yeah, 10 bucks would be a nice price point. The song really brought the game to a head at the end. If you've already heard the song then I think it would probably devalue the game for you somewhat.
$20 isn't outrageous though. That's about what you pay for most casual games for PC. But if it's too much for you then there's a simple solution: rent it! It's perfect for a rental because total game time is only around 3 hours start to finish.

You could rent it for a week, that should be sufficient, right?

I wouldn't call it a minigame. In fact, it's one of the few games I have for the PS3 that I keep coming back to.

so either the drums were really out of sync or the drummer was just doing really bad, either way it was very amusing to watch. =)

Yeah, great. X-Box users get an awesome song that makes me want to dry-hump my RB drums, and us PS3 users get... a site redesign.
Awesome.
Seriously.
No, I'm not incredibly bitter.

Nate....it'll be the best $60 (maybe less if you look on ebay or CAG) you'll ever spent. Okay, maybe not the BEST, but certainly 30+ hours worth.
PHOTOSHOP IS NOT A GAME!

Hoffer @ Mar 31st 2008 11:19PM
I downloaded the song to my 360. I figured it wouldn't be the most fun to play and it isn't. It is still cool to have since the song is so awesome.
digiboi @ Apr 1st 2008 11:34AM
Why isn't this just available from the in game RockBand store?
ArmorForVictor @ Apr 1st 2008 6:45PM
the rock band store grabs the content from the playstation store that's why.
ArmorForVictor @ Apr 1st 2008 6:46PM
