So far, this is one of the best April Fools jokes yet. What makes it so unique is that 2 competing companies teamed up to do this. That's pretty cool. Good marketing for both.

Entertaining video...but is Assassin's Creed really one of the "two" most popular stealth games? When I played through it, "stealth" had very little to do with it. (Why walk when you can run? Why run when you can fight? Why fight when you can play something else?)

Awesome video, and I hope that Altair's robe is in MGS4, that'd be a fun bonus. Especially if one could use the sword.

Honestly I think that was how the game was meant to be played. During the tutorials on how to walk past people without making them drop their pots and stuff, I was like, eff this... me gon stab any fools who get in ma' way!

anybody else notice that we were shown gameplay of what the gekkos look like during the gameplay?? that was awesome. this is one of the things i wanted in mgs4, you encounter the gekkos while you're walking around in the game. they're like normal enemies, just much stronger. and yes, an altair unlockable costume is pretty much confirmed.

Also made me think, it was AC was made that way might have been a playable game for a change!

Assassin's Creed is not a stealth game. MGS is a stealth game - it actually matters whether you're discovered or not. Whilst I like Assassin's Creed, I was hoping it would be like Thief but with an emphasis on getting in anonymously, doing the deed and escaping undetected, with any fight with a guard being a harsh challenge.

Assassin's Creed is closer to Bill the Butcher than Léon. That's not all bad but it's not a stealth game.

i agree with a previous poster - regardless of whether altair is in mgs4, this is amazing footage of in game game play. notice how the PMC's all tap each other and pull back as the geckos show up? plus it shows how to properly dodge some of their main attacks.

I think Miss Raymond should consult Kojima when she's doing another AC...at least ask him how to do the cutscenes right...

Or even better, they can team up and make a MGS/AC spinoff. That'd be sweet.

At first I couldn't figure out how they did it. But then the ending gave it away. When I realized Hideo Kojima was involved, I saw that they just went to the Assassin's Creed people, got the movements and maps for the main character, and simply adopted it to their code, and ran the trailer, with a character map befitting that of Assasin's creed. This was not done using video footage and green or blue screens... this was done in CODE. Much better, as long as the parties agree. And since Assassin's Creed is already released, there's no competition. In fact, it's an advert, for both games. Everybody wins, including us the viewers. This is truly where creativity is increasingly moving, something Smash Bros. has known for some time, yes?

this actually spoiled the gekko's gameplay... it was really something i wanted to find out once the game comes out... argh... that angers me abit :(

also... wats with all the hype with Jade... am i the only guy who doesnt think shes 'that' hot or something... i mean seriously... not that amazing... :S
