Gran Turismo for Boys lives on, might be GT5 feature

The awkwardly-named Gran Turismo for Boys was supposed to be a more kid-oriented version of the popular racing sim, giving male youngsters a small taste of the real racing simulator. In an interview with with Kazunori Yamauchi, the director noted that they're still devoted to making Gran Turismo for Boys "but we're hoping to make that a feature within GT5."A simpler version of GT5 would certain appeal to both boys and girls, no? Regardless, it seems like there are plans to make a much more mainstream-friendly version of GT -- for those who can't get enough auto-assist whilst driving.

Boys need to suck it up!
I was playing with all theh advanced tools of Gran Turismo since I was a kid. I had the first GT what, when I was... 10.
I fully played through the game like any other older person.
Mistu 3000GT ftw. (and in some cases you'll need the 10 more hp (after mods) worse handling Toyota Supra).

Same here. I loved the 3000GT. One of my faves from the original. They should re-release it on PSN in commemoration of GT5P....or for the full game. But they SHOULD get it out soon.

If you are going to do something like this, don't drag the GT name into it. Actually just don't ever do this.

Maybe if they put this mode in, awful muck like Stability Management, Traction Control, Racing Line and other dumbing down aspects that keep leaking into the series can be shunted into it, so the rest of us don't have to turn this crap off before we can play the game properly.
At least in all the PS3 GT titles it's a global setting, unlike GT4 where you had to go into the settings menu for every single car you bought to turn off its automatic retard-mode. It should still be all be turned off as standard though, so those that need it can turn it on if they choose and the rest of us won't have to be troubled by the huge compromises it makes to turn in and responsiveness.
