Kane & Lynch gets free DLC for Store relaunch
If for some reason you're still playing Kane & Lynch, Eidos has a nice surprise for you: four new downloadable maps for the game's Fragile Alliance multiplayer mode will be released on April 17th, the day the new PLAYSTATION Store relaunches. Entitled "The Dope Bag," this DLC will feature four maps, each featuring its own "unique scenario." At the very least, the price is nice. Unlike Stranglehold's multiplayer additions, this will cost a pretty sum of $0 (0 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360). With the release of the similarly priced "Still Alive" Rock Band add-on, April 17th is going to be a great day.

Thoas @ Apr 8th 2008 4:27AM
Very true, because the 48 psn friends i have none of them played that game and not even the demo either. I played the demo and hated myself for downloading it halfway threw the demo.
KingOfGods @ Apr 8th 2008 7:53AM
You do realize the game sold over a million copies.
Popfrogs @ Apr 8th 2008 11:34AM
Yes, a million copies to Xbox owners who buy anything with guns on the cover.
playcrackthesky @ Apr 8th 2008 1:55AM
"If for some reason you're still playing Kane & Lynch, Eidos has a nice surprise for you"
very funny...

April 17th will pwn, but NOT because of this crap. Kane and Linch = major fail.
playcrackthesky @ Apr 8th 2008 2:39AM
sigh.
Still Alive is probably thee most lame thing I have ever heard. That song and its undeserved popularity, annoys me to bits.
JKPierce @ Apr 8th 2008 8:54AM
'Undeserved popularity'? Meaning millions of people's opinions are wrong? From what basis does this ultimate assertion come?
Either you enjoy it or you don't. There's no reason to knock the enjoyment of others.
JKPierce @ Apr 8th 2008 7:22AM
'Undeserved popularity'? Who's to say millions of people's opinions are invalid? From what ultimate authority is this from?
Either one likes something or they don't. There's no reason to knock one's enjoyment; it's the purpose of gaming to begin with.
ZenGaijin @ Apr 8th 2008 1:12PM
I kinda helps if you play through portal THEN hear the song. Not just hear the song.
anthonyjh63 @ Apr 8th 2008 2:11AM
Heh, the biggest mistake they made was releasing a demo. Who would pick it up after that crap?
JKPierce @ Apr 8th 2008 7:19AM
To be fair, looking back at the Heavenly Sword demo...
JoJo @ Apr 8th 2008 9:57AM
after heavenly sword demo...
i did not wanna touch it!! and plus
i thought it was a lame game..
i don't like playing as a girl,
i mean.. just not that type of game..
good thing i didn't buy that game either!
Popfrogs @ Apr 8th 2008 11:56AM
Jojo: you really missed out, that game was all about the story and had some of the best graphics ever. Just pretend she's an asian Kratos and you're good.
JKPierce @ Apr 8th 2008 4:04PM
What Popfrogs said.
JAH75157 @ Apr 8th 2008 8:27AM
the demo was so bad, so very very bad. man it was bad.
JoJo @ Apr 8th 2008 9:56AM
a million copies sold don't mean NOTHING!! that must mean those people who bought it were people who did not know nothing of the game and thought it would be a nice game!! after the demo i played i was really pissed off... all them time DLing that stupid game!! i just can't wait til MGS4 and GTA IV
lol!!
Rye21 @ Apr 8th 2008 10:41AM
I never tried this game, glad I didnt... unfortuantely I brought Army of Two which was better than this, so iv heard, but I never could play it online for some reason so that was a waste IMO, since I only wanted to play it online. There is only one great add on for 17th April, new Warhawk expansion.
chris.westermann @ Apr 8th 2008 10:18AM
This proves that there are a bunch of idiots running Valve that like to talk the big talk but have no proof to support their words. Contrary to Valve, Sony doesn't force people to charge for DLC, obviously. I think Valve going off that Sony forces you to pay for DLC was Valve's way of trying to promote their own Steam network (which apparently offers free content) and/or as an excuse for Valve really wanting to make some profit off of selling PSN content and coming off as innocent saints by blaming the big evil corporations.
JKPierce @ Apr 8th 2008 4:09PM
If one has content on a platform that one gets money from, such as Live, then one might as well charge on the competing platform. That's, like, free money.
hey_big_dck psn:fuliano626 @ Apr 8th 2008 11:38AM
i hope this is not the big surprise that sony was talking about for the store redesign.
The Dark Trooper @ Apr 8th 2008 3:37PM
Groovy! I play Kane and Lynch online and thoughly enjoy it, So I can't wait to pick up the new pack and for free! Yes
Kabapu @ Apr 8th 2008 4:00PM
I don't get all the hate on this game .. I've only played the demo, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. *shrug*
rainking187 @ Apr 9th 2008 2:02PM
I don't get it either. I played the demo and it didn't seem that bad. I'd have to wait for a price drop before considering buying it, but it's definitely as bad as some people say.
rainking187 @ Apr 9th 2008 2:04PM
Ugh, I meant it's "not as bad as some people say".
The Dark Trooper @ Apr 18th 2008 1:46AM
I notice its the 17th but yet no "Dope Bag", Anyone know where it is?
